Lori Engel

A Life Transformed I grew up in the steamy jungles of Brazil, and spent wondrous hours on the beautiful beaches in Fortaleza. I was blessed with monkeys, a sloth, a macaw and numerous parrots as pets. Later on I spent 6 years teaching English in Taiwan, and traveling around the fascinating Asian countries. I am a good writer and public speaker. I am very giving and nurturing, as well as intellectual, inquisitive, and adventuresome. Sometimes I tend to communicate too much by questions, and am prone to over- analysis. I am also very creative and love to find unique ways of showing my love and affection. I am a 7th-generation SDA, and church has always been an important part of my life. It took years, however, for my relationship with God to move from an intellectual belief to an experiential reality that impacts all my thoughts, feelings, and actions. I am committed to a daily transformation of my heart and mind, and believe that sanctification is truly about the healing of wound
