none of the Tannenbaums knew she was a smoker.

Which she had been since the age of twelve.

“As always, she was late..”

“Are you going to class today?”

“I don’t know if i’m emotionally ready”

You want beauty. Look in the mirror.

Movies are our excuse. Our excuse to disappear into a visual world that isn't our own. Or maybe, perhaps, not one that isn't our own but one that has not yet proven to be. An attempt at being submerged and forgotten. Forgotten and Forgetting.

Vagrant from our own world to watch the life of one romanticized

And what we are left with is our self taught abdication of our ability to allow presence to exceed. And with it we are content. And With that‌ We watch by Olivia W

A series exploring the point of view of the other half. The point of view that we cannot allow ourselves to acknowledge. Because to allow that knowledge to demand presence is to erase the lines between wrong and right.

Of Mina E By Sam R

Lolita has become its own adjective. When we see a young adolescent girl, one who proves to be attractive and sexually responsive. A young girl who lusts after older men, and is desired by them in return. We are drawn to this name that has claimed its presence in the endlessly growing world of made up words: And when we think of this name “Lolita we think of the famous demonstration of sexual predators, rape, and the everlasting controversy of love and age reflected in both the book and, later, its two movies. And so what is presented to you, through these

photographs, is a portrayal of this character. However those not portrayed by the eye of who you assume. That of a man. An older, predatory, man— no. They are to be portrayed through they eyes of the girl herself. Photographs of Mina E., 14, by Sam R., also age 14, beg the question: What is a predator if the prey is willing? If the eyes of the situation are that of another? What does the term “Lolita” really define? -Olivia W

The Virgin Suicides Of Sofia P By Olivia W

“We felt the imprisonment of being a girl, the way it made your mind active and dreamy, and how you ended up knowing which colors went together. We knew that the girls were our twins, that we all existed in space like animals with identical skins, and that they knew everything about us though we couldn't fathom them at all. We knew finally that the girls were really woman in disguise, that they understood love even death, and that our job was merely to create the noise that seemed to fascinate them.â€? -the boysÂ

“Basically what we have here is a dreamer. Somebody out of touch with reality. When she jumped, she probably thought

she’d

fly”

ROMEO AND JULIET Of Bella GP by Sofia GP

Friar Laurence uses an extended metaphor to warn Romeo that his and Juliet’s intense passion will result in a fatal end. “These violent delights have violent ends. This is foreshadowing to later tragic events.

Romeo says that the poison is cordial because it will be a celebration when he will be reunited with his love in death. “come, cordial not poison, go with me

“Death lies on her like an untimely frost upon the sweetest flower of all the field” He compares her to a flower that has grown too early and dies when the unexpected winter comes.

Romeo, yet again, compares Juliet to light and saying that he does not need a light (referencing how they always meet in the dark) because her beauty will illuminate the tomb. “her beauty makes this vault a feasting presence full of light”
