Day 1 Arrival at Ngurah Rai International Airport and transfer to Ubud area. Check in at BALI SPIRIT and overnight. Built in the 13th century, it is located at the foot of the volcano. The temple is outstanding for the beauty of its surrounding nature, in the middle of the forest with thousand of different trees and flowers. We continue our visit to Jatiluwih to admire the most beautiful rice terrace of the island. Set in the heart of the Tabanan Regency in Bali, the Jatiluwih rice fields have been named a UNESCO Cultural Landscape. Lunch is served in local panoramic restaurant (Altitude m.800 above sea level). After lunch we will head to Bedugul village, to visit Pura Ulu Danu Beratan Water Temple on Beratan Lake. (Altutude m. 1.200). Your journey continues to Munduk village. A short hiking into the rain tropical forest will lead you to Munduk Waterfall. Finally we will reach the sacred hot springs Air Panas of Banjar set in the middle of the jungle in a beautiful tropical garden. Locals come here to enjoy a bath in the warm and sulphurous water. The journey finishes at the black sandy beaches of Lovina. Overnight is in Lovina. Day 2: LOVINA – CANDIDASA (B/L) Breakfast in hotel. We travel along coastal road of Mount Rinjani and through the wild tropical forest, monkey's reign and Natural Park. Some stops will be made during the tour where you may take some pictures and admire the panoramic view of the white islands. Start to explore West part of Sumba, drive to Kodi for 2 hours to visit Bondo Kodi and Ratenggaro for traditional thatched roof and highest towering (10 meters) houses and megalithic tombs. Then walk along the beautiful and quite beaches, then cross the river (if the water permits) to Waiyapu village, another West Sumbanese traditional village. Day 1: Jayapura - Wamena Arrive at Jayapura’s Sentani Airport and take a short flight to Wa mena. Transfer to The Baliem Valley Resort. After lunch, visiting the local market in Wamena and hanging bridge in Sinakma in the afternoon. Gunung Gading National Park – 3 - 4hr Rafflesia tuanmudae the world’s largest flower can be found at Gunung Gad ing which is situated about 120 kms from Kuching, the journey passes through dense, luxuriant rainforest, rubber plantations, pepper orchards, cocoa gardens, padi fields, small roadside towns and kampongs. The Park consists of a rugged network of mountains made up of several peaks. Gunung Gading is the highest at 906 metres.These mountains are an important landmark in the Lundu district and the whole region is one of remarkable beauty. Gunung Gading is not only home to the world’s largest flower, the Rafflesia which at full bloom stretches nearly one metre in width but also to other numerous rare plants. Annah Rais Longhouse – 3 - 4hr Visit the Bidayuhs, formerly known as the Land Dayaks during the era of the Brookes’ and British colonial rule at Anah Rais. It is a popular destination because of its sce nic surroundings and its size, which is large even by Sarawak’s standard.
Semenggoh Orang Utan – 3 - 4hr The best place in Sarawak to view semi-wild orang utans, who have been res cued from captivity and trained to survive in the surrounding forest reserve. The rehabilitated animals roam freely in the rain forest, and often return to the centre at feeding time. Thanks to the successful breeding programme at Semonggok there is a good possibility of experiencing one of the most heart-warming sights in Borneo - an orang utan mother with a young baby.The centre is 30 mins drive from Kuching and another 20 mins on foot. Day2: Bako National Park (B,Picnic Lunch). Early morning after breakfast, depart toward Bako National Park. A National Park since 1957, Bako covers an area of 27 sq km. Bako contains a large range of vegetation, ranging from lush cliff and lowland dipterocarp forest to almost desert-like scrubs on the upper plateau. Among these vegetation are the carnivorous plants of the pitcher, sundews and bladderworts family. The mangrove forest is a home for the long-nosed or proboscis monkeys (endemic only to Borneo), long-tailed macaques, silver-leaf monkeys, monitor lizards, deers and wild boars. We will go on a jungle walk and Bako also offers some good white sand beaches that provide perfect resting spots in between jungle walks. Enjoy the unusual beauties of eroded rocks and cliff while you deep in the warm waters of the South China Sea. Return to Hotel. Day3: Kuching – Batang Ai (B,L,D). After breakfast you will travel 290 km by car, with a few stops along the way: first at Semenggoh Orang Utan Sanctuary, then at Serian town. Here you may wish to make some last minute shopping, for insect repellent or gifts for the Ibans. You can also visit a fascinating native fruit and vegetable market. The other stops include a visit to the Pepper Farm and a stop where you can observe plenty of wild orchids and also pitcher plants, insect eating plants. The last stop will be at "Lachau" a small up country Chinese Village, where lunch will be provided. Here you can still observe barter trading being held between the natives of Kalimantan, the Chinese shop owners and the natives of Sarawak. After lunch you'll proceed to the final stage of the journey, and arrive at the beautiful Batang Ai Lake. At the jetty, you will take a boat/ferry across the lake to reach the Hilton Batang Ai. After check in, the rest of the day is free at leisure. Day4: Batang Ai (B,Picnic Lunch,D). After breakfast, your morning will start with a fascinating visit to natives of Borneo. You will board native longboats for about an hour, across the lake, and then up the river, to reach a native longhouse. On arrival at the longhouse, you will be taken for a tour around the longhouse, to meet the natives and their families. The Iban women will organize a small market and display their handicrafts for sale. As a tourist, you do not have to feel obliged to buy. Inle Lake, one of the magical lakes in Myanmar locat ed 900 meters above sea level surrounded by beautiful mountains of Shan plateau, is the home land of the Inthar tribe. If by chance today coincides with the market day, we will visit the regional market which is held on a 5 days rotation basis in different areas of the lake. We will visit Phaungda woo Pagoda – famous for its richly gilded five small Buddha images; Nga phechaung monastery (also known as jumping cat monastery) was built more than one and a half century ago and features a number of interesting old Buddha Images. Other attractions include: unique leg-rowing style and fishing method of the Inthar, floating gardens used as vegetable planta tions, silk and cotton weaving cottages and black smith. Overnight at Inle Lake. (B / - / -) Day 04 : Visit Indein / Heho-Mandalay (flight) Breakfast at the hotel. We explore the southern part of the Lake by boat sail ing through small twisting and turning creeks to reach Indein village. This small village located on the southwestern bank of the lake is famous for its ruined clusters of pagodas dated back to 16th century. The tranquil peace ful ambience and the ruins overgrown with bushes will bring you centuries back. Afternoon, you will be transferred to the airport for taking the flight to Mandalay. From the Mandalay Gawwein jetty, we will take a short boat ride up river to reach Mingun, located at the other side of the Ayeyar waddy River and north of Mandalay. Sightseeing highlights includes Pathodawgyi, believed to be one of the largest brick base in the world and it would be one of the wonders of the world in case if it was completed; Mingun bell, said to be world’s biggest un-cracked ringing bell and Myatheindan pagoda, represents for Buddhist cosmology. Return to Mandalay Afternoon sightseeing includes Shwenandaw monastery, still existing mas terpiece of last Myanmar kingdom’s architecture in teak and wood carving; Kuthodaw Pagoda, renowned as the world’s largest book; and Mandalay Hill, regarded a natural watch tower in the plain region of Mandalay, to view the sunset. Overnight at Mandalay. (B / - / -) Day 06 : Visit Sagaing Hill and proceed to Monywa / PM Visit Poe Win Taung Breakfast at hotel. Visit Sagaing, a former capital of Shan Kingdom and Myanmar Kingdom. Sagaing nowadays is renowned as the religious cen ter of Myanmar because of over 400 monasteries spreading throughout the hillocks. After crossing the Inwa bridge (also called Sagaing Bridge), one can visit the Sagaing hill by trucks. The highlights include Soonooponyas hin Pagoda, Uminthonese Pagoda, a thirty man made caves pagoda. Other highlights include silver smith and Kaunghmudaw pagoda – the gigantic stupa represent paddy heap. Then, we will drive to Monywa, situated 157 km north of Mandalay (about 3 ½ hrs by car) by the east bank of the Chind win River. Arrive Monywa and check in at the hotel. Then we will cross the Chindwin River and take the jeep or pick-up truck drive to reach Poe Win hill caves – an interesting area with the caves containing ancient sculptures, mural paintings dating from 17th and 18th centuries. The sightseeing starts with a visit to Nyaung Oo market – a typical local market; followed by visits to most distinctive pagodas such as Shwezigon Pa goda – the holiest one believed to be enshrined with Buddha tooth and hair; Gubyaukgyi Temple (Wetkyiinn village) – the 13th century ‘cave temple’ with fine frescoes of scenes from Jakatas; Anada Temple – one of the masterpieces surviving and remaining in Bagan and considered to be in the Mon architec ture style. Afternoon, we will visit a lacquer ware factory followed by a visit to local village. Before the sundown, we would take a boat ride along the Ayeyar waddy River to view the sunset and relax.
