I made this slideshow of photos as a tribute to Huw, for his funeral at St. Mary's, Winkfield, on Friday 18th December 2020. Very sadly, Huw died at the age of 61. He had throat cancer. I had known him for nearly 50 years. He was many things to many people but to me he was a persistent and very dear friend. Looking back, I think the thing I value most about my relationship with Huw is our shared history. It means so much to me that we have known one another for so many years. I’m so glad I didn’t manage to escape your tenacity a lifetime ago, in our teens, dear Huw. It’s hard to imagine you no longer being part of my life, at the end of the phone or turning up with a bottle of wine, a big hug, and your even bigger laugh. I will miss you.
