A shkenaz F estival
is the largest Jewish cultural event in Canada, and one of the largest events of its kind in the world. The biennial festival features over 200 artists and performers working in music, theatre, dance, film, literature, and visual arts.
For the fifteen years of the festival’s existence, the biennial promotional graphics have been the product of a unique collaboration between two renowned artists, illustrator Barbara Klunder and designer Louis Fishauf.

BARBARA AND LOUIS ARE BOTH RECIPIENTS OF THE ADCC’S HIGHEST HONOUR, THE LES USHERWOOD AWARD, PRESENTED FOR LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AND OUTSTANDING CONTRIBUTION TO THE COMMUNICATION ARTS IN CANADA. LOUIS RECEIVED HIS AWARD IN 1991 AND BARBARA RECEIVED HERS IN 2009.
