Lou is a lifetime resident of Cherry Hill and is married to former freelance reporter, office manager, musician, and poet, Janice Anne Clark, formerly of Manlius, New York. They are the proud parents of Elizabeth and Matt. On Tuesday, June 18, 1996, Louis A. Schopfer, Jr. (because of his volunteer work in the community) carried the Olympic Torch from Trenton, New Jersey across the “Trenton Makes” bridge into Morrisville, Pennsylvania. Also, Lou has been a volunteer for the YWCA of Trenton “Week Without Violence.” He was a Council Trustee in addition to serving as the Gala Chair of the United Cerebral Palsy Association. Lou has served for several years with West Jersey Health Systems and Cherry Hill EMS. While serving as a paramedic, Lou was portrayed in the feature documentary “Making the Difference” with Ron Jaworski of the Philadelphia Eagles.
