New for 2018 is a NZ and Australian compliant operable balustrade system, engineered to heights up to 3000mm high.

Our Spiral Pivot sun louvre operating systems has been upgraded to incorporate a structural frame for free standing fixing – the new Super Elam Street system.

In response to an increasing demand for larger fixed and operable louvres we now offer Ultra 50 Rectangular Louvres – 300 mm, 450mm & 600mm wide.

We have also included the range of louvres designed to fit with our Coastal Series Sliding, Bi-folding and Hinged shutters – ideal for marine environments.

Custom made – we also specialise in custom designed gates, fences, balustrades, chimney surrounds and the like. Specifically designed made to measure installations.

MOTORISED

Louvretec’s Spiral Pivot system is hidden away within the custom pivot frame.

OVERHEAD PANEL

Powered by Somfy, there is now a choice of a structural frame including the motor, or the motor sitting externally above, below or to the side, all within an extruded housing.

HAND OPERATED

Spiral Pivot can also be hand operated with an easy turn custom gearbox and removable stainless steel crank handle.

MOTORISED SUPER ELAM STREET STRUCTURAL FRAME INCLUDED

This new design incorporates an upgraded 63mm wide Spiral Pivot system connected to a 63 x 100 structural frame.

Very neat, motor and pivot system completely concealed with no need for box section supports. Blades can run horizontally or vertically.

MOTORISED OR HAND OPERATED ELAM STREET

This system consists of the new 63mm wide Spiral Pivot system without the structural sub-frame. Ideal for smaller spanning installations – can be supported with separate box section frame.

All Elam Street panels can be single or dual panel.

Hi-Span balustrade louvres for New Zealand

135mm HI-SPAN BALUSTRADE LOUVRE

The 135mm Hi-Span louvre has been designed to provide an operable Spiral Pivoting louvre suitable for NZ.

Motorised or hand operable

The louvre is an infill panel only and does not include structural balustrade frame supports – supports by others.

NZ AND AUSTRALIAN BALUSTRADE REQUIREMENTS

This is a general guideline outlining some key requirements as at the time of printing.

1. A barrier is required when someone could fall vertically 1m or more.

2. Balustrade or barrier must be 1m high and of adequate strength to cope with people pressing against it.

3. Ensure nowhere on the balustrade a child can get a foot hold between 150mm & 750mm above the deck surface to climb over the balustrade or fall through.

4. In NZ the maximum opening between balulstrade verticals is 100mm, in Australia 125mm.

In response to an ever increasing demand for large motorised louvres Louvretec has developed the new Maxi-Drive operating system.

The Somfy motor and custom gearbox fit within a structural frame. The motor operates the drive blade which via a connecting arm operates the complete louvre panel.

HAND OPERABLE KISS PIVOT SYSTEM

The KISS Pivot system operates a range of airfoil and rectangular louvres. This elegant easy to operate system offers the advantages of fully adjustable, lockable louvres at little more than fixed louvre prices.

Ideal to use as a fixed frame in an opening, or within our Coastal Series range of sliding, bi-folding or hinged shutters.

Operates using double drive-arms that can be locked closed or in various pre-set open positions.

Each blade has a woolpile leading edge to assist sealing and prevent metal to metal contact.

Sealed with a KISS has never been easier.

END FIXED BLADES – HOW DO YOU WANT THEM?

Every Louvretec blade is designed with internal screw ports, allowing easy blade End Fixing options to a channel or frame, at any angle or at any centre. The screw ports also provide fixing for the blade end caps.

The type of blade, angle of the blades and the centres of the blades are critical factors with regards to aesthetics and in determining light, shade or shelter.

BRACKET FIXED LOUVRES – STYLISH CUSTOM SYSTEMS

Bracket Fixing provides for continuous runs of louvre blades. The blades are cantilevered at the ends, and in most instances instances blade fixing is hidden, giving the louvre blades a free floating effect.

Louvretec has custom engineered fixing brackets designed specifically for every sun louvre blade, allowing blades to be set at any angle or centre, ensuring fit for purpose outcomes.

COASTAL SERIES SHUTTERS WITH KISS PIVOT LOUVRES

Designed to operate in harsh coastal conditions, our new Coastal Series shutters incorporate either KISS Pivot or End Fixed louvres.

The upgraded KISS Pivot system operates by the use of double drive arms that flush against the frame when the louvres are closed.

A flush fixed slide lock sits within the blades and now features a marine grade stainless steel locking pin.

All Louvretec Hinged Gates are custom made, site specific to every installation.

Beautifully finished, robust stylish designs, all welding buffed flush prior to powder coating.

All fittings T316 marine grade stainless steel.

We do not undertake gate motorization, but work with a number of specialists in this field.

Louvre panels can be fitted between existing posts or can be entirely made of all aluminium sections.
