ape Cod is a well-known summer hot spot all over the world. Many people wonder what it is like to be on Cape Cod in what we call the “off season” (aka, not the summer). This place
has so much to offer year round, and is (almost) as good in the spring, fall and winter as it is in the high season of summer.

When the temperature drops, it also marks the beginning of the holiday season, which is just as festive and fun as any city. Some of the best local events happen in October and November, such as the Wellfleet Oysterfest, Pumpkin Day at Bourne Farm in North Falmouth, The Vinegrass Music Festival and of course the Cranberry Harvest Celebration.

From June through August, our sandy shores are firing on all cylinders and the list of things to do is endless. There are lobster roll cruises, dune tours in Provincetown, kayak adventures, outdoor concerts, and LoveLocal Fests. In Spring locals try to enjoy the activities we won’t be able to do during the super busy summer. We go on whale watches out of Hyannis or Provincetown (the whales are much better in the spring!), hit one of the dozens of the golf courses, or go camping in the 1,900 acres of Nickerson State Park.

UPPER CAPE The Upper Cape is the entryway to the Cape consisting of the towns of Bourne, Sandwich, Falmouth and Mashpee.
