The undergraduate studies not only taught me fundamental knowledge and technical skills in the architectural design, but also cultivated my innovative thoughts to serve for our society through design works. While conducting so many design projects in the university, I never forgot my original ideas of building comfortable space to warm people who live in it. Thus, I tried my best to focus my works on humanistic care and add more warmness, emotion, and love to my design.

Feminism Village Community Inspiring research based on the status quo of low feminism in rural China Type:Academic Project Site Location:Yunnan,China Date:2018.04-2018.07 Collaboration:Individual Work Supervisor:Yan Xu yanwsf@163.com

In China, as a large number of young rural laborers migrate to cities for employment, women who remain behind account for 65 percent of the total rural labor force and are the main force in agriculture. However, in a rural patriarchal culture, and to strengthen the gender discrimination, directly decide rural village of the allocation of resources under the influence, rural women in the level of education, land and property ownership, participation, etc, are at a disadvantage, rural poor women and impoverishment phenomenon increasingly prominent and severe. If women do not participate in wealth creation and do not control the means of production, they will inevitably have no voice in social distribution. How to better liberate the productive forces of rural women and stimulate their potential to build rural areas has become a major theme of China's development.

Elderly and Women's Activity Centre This is a new Public Activity Space. Women and old people in the village can vote, give speeches, read books, perform cultural performances and other activities here.

Rammed Earth

The traditional materials in the village have been improved and new pouring methods are available.

Outside the Factory In the past, they wanted to express their opinions on village affairs, but they never had the opportunity and anyone came to solicit women’s opinions. The establishment and development of the factory have increased the income of rural women and has gained confidence in speaking. After working, women think more about exercising their expressive skills. They said: "With strong expressive skills, we can go out of the village and mobilize more women to organize."

Crafting Workshop Women adopt the model of cooperative organization and concentrate on production. Women’s income is based on “workload” instead of “quantity”. They believe that if income is distributed by “quantity”, novices who are unskilled will be excluded.Women here carry out all kinds of productive activities and create their own income. After having a job, they also have emotional sustenance, and they like to have their own world.

Harmony of Boundary Flamingo Habitat Design Based on Bird Imprinting Research Type:Academic Project Site Location:Wathba,Abu Dhabi Date:2019.11-2020.01 Collaboration:Individual Work Supervisor:Wonjae Lee jeeum.w@hanmail.net

The Al Wathba Wetland Reserve in the UAE capital of Abu Dhabi is home to a branch of wildlife, the most famous of which is its flamingo population. The magnificent waves of the pink flock to the reserve every autumn to spend the cooler winter months residing in the wetlands until spring, as many as 4,000 at a time. The selected site for the Abu Dhabi Flamingo Visitor Center is located in the North of the Al Wathba Wetland Reserve. People, flamingos, and the environment are the three factors that design a visitor center. From different perspectives in the building, different views can be viewed without disturbing the flamingo, which is the core of my design.I hope that the sky and the lake, people and animals, architecture and the environment can reach a harmonious state.

Al Wathba History Originally the area is a small village surrounded by desert. In the late 1990s the Al Mafraq water treatment facility hit capacity and flooded the surrounding land, before long reeds shot up and a flock of flamingos decided to make a go of it. In 1998 the Sultan declared the newly formed wetland a protected area now home to 260 species of birds.

Site Analysis The Al Wathba Wetland Reserve is a nature reserve consisting of both natural and man-made bodies of water located 40 km southeast of central Abu Dhabi. The selected site for the Abu Dhabi Flamingo Visitor Center is located in the North of the Al Wathba Wetland Reserve.

Timeline of One Year This is the main behavior of the flamingo throughout the year, as well as the timing and route of its migration. The problem is that thousands of flamingos are seasonal landscapes, and the best viewing period is from November to March. During the low season of viewing, there are many things people can do here.

Imprinting In psychology and ethology, imprinting is any kind of phase-sensitive learning that is rapid and apparently independent of the consequences of behavior. More flamingos will hatch here in the coming days. This building may have an impact on the new generation of flamingos.

In Abu Dhabi, the summers are long, sweltering, oppressive, arid, and partly cloudy and the winters are comfortable, dry, windy, and mostly clear. Over the course of the year, the temperature typically varies from 60°F to 104°F and is rarely below 55°F or above 111°F.

Model Processing and CLT

According to the development model of the line of sight, finally, achieve the goal of seeing different landscapes from all angles. These cross-laminated wood materials are professionally called cross-laminated timber (CLT). The tree itself is an extremely cheap and efficient purification machine.

Exhibition Space The Exhibition Space is topped with a plank fair-faced concrete slab, which rough texture and cement color ties back to nature, and echoes to the fair-faced wooden fence wall one first encounter before entering the house.

Underwater Paradise As a metaphor for the journey of descending from land to wetland, textile-clad ceiling panels reference the colors of a sunset dropping into the underwater, accompanying one’s passage down the stairs.

Visitor Center Hall Visitors can see the wetland scenery through the huge glass curtain wall, or watch the flamingo flocks while drinking coffee. After the visit to the visitor center, visitors can go back to the lobby through the huge spiral staircase.

Sunbathing And Shadow The sunshine in Abu Dhabi during the tourist season is just right. People can enjoy the sun and embrace nature.

Connection An Activation Space Based on The Current State Of Depression In First-Tier Cities In China Type:Academic Project Site Location:Shanghai,China Date:2020.9-2020.12 Collaboration:Individual Work Supervisor:Yuan Shen syarchitecture@126.com

We o b v i o u s l y l i v e i n a p e a c e f u l a n d p r o s p e r o u s environment, but the number of depression patients is steadily increasing. I am afraid this is the biggest irony of this peaceful era. With the advocacy of modern development myths, people have become accustomed to equating advanced material life with all the pursuits of life. In contemporary China, with the economic and housing reform, collective architecture has undergone adaptive changes. The high housing price and life pressure in big cities cause people to feel depressed, and people need places to rest their hearts. So the new collective life building prototype must innovate itself constantly along with the social development demand. With the advent of the post-socialist era, there may be a new archetype of collective living space, integrating social and spiritual healing Spaces as well as Living Spaces. In fact, compared with the ancestors, the real survival needs of human beings have not changed fundamentally. What we need is not takeaways that arrive in 20 minutes, nor an 80-megapixel mobile phone, nor endless clothes and shoes, but as Johann Hari wrote in the book*: Connection. We are all in this lonely world. Luckily, we are in this world together.

*:《Lost Connections: Uncovering the Real Causes of Depression – and the Unexpected Solutions》

Depression in the World In fact, technology and money just build a beautiful shell. In catching up with the high-efficiency and multi-productive life cycle, it is increasingly easy for people to ignore the spiritual needs as a price, and lash them at full speed.

China has the most people with depression in the world. And the rate is only going to increase.

This city is so indifferent...

In all countries, the median estimate for the prevalence of depression is higher for women than for men.

Urban Expressions in The Post-epidemic Era Creative Research on Tokyo Urban Public Space

Type:Academic Project Site Location:Tokyo,Japan Date:2020.10-2020.11 Collaboration:Team Work Team Member:Jianan Li Hanfang Deng Xiaolin Liu Supervisor:Rujia Lin(Architect) arch.rujialin@gmail.com

The development of electronic devices has allowed some people to meet during coVID-19.The current form of life has changed dramatically, the internet is overwhelming every detail of human life. Actually, when people getting closer to the internet virtual space, at the same time, they will get more alienation from the surrounding real public space. The proposal firstly questions the daily use mode of public space in Tokyo during the post-pandemic era:Can we redefine the public space, and suggest a new public behavioral mode? In the face of the next isolation that may come at any time, people can accomplish what they want in a limited space (a street). People in each street are also restricted to perform various activities in their own street. Using Tokyo as a prototype, we conceived a new urban expression in the post-epidemic era.

Changes: Individual activities in different cities are restricted

The development of electronic devices has allowed some people to meet during coVID-19.

Behavior Typology Study in Different City Urban people's activities and space requirements under normal conditions before the epidemic, especially the type and scale of space.

By studying the type of different behavior and the size of these activity spaces, their demand for space can be obtained.

Through the principle of ergonomics, we can get the minimum range of each human behavior and activity, so as to infer the required size of each space, which can help us to arrange the space in the subsequent design.

20 Representative Activities Can the space required for different activities be combined through modularity? We came up with the idea of creating modules through steel frames.

Spatial Pattern of Neighborhood Interaction

By investigating the neighborhood space types and neighborhood activities, and applying t

this inspiration to the design, we can find the long-lost neighborhood interaction in the city.

New Expression Home isolation may become the norm in the post-epidemic era. When the quarantine begins, people's activities will be divided into blocks and restricted to blocks. There will be urban facilities that meet all basic needs in the block. If all these roofs can be used under certain conditions, they can serve a great function of providing public space and mitigate the pressure of civic open space. With the addition of different facilities, Tokyo's urban expression will continue to undergo new changes.

New Facilities The traffic of the entire block is closed in a loop, and people can easily reach any place in their block during the isolation period. The information in each area will be displayed on outdoor neon signs. People can check the number of people in the area at any time to decide whether to go to this area.

A cable car is an extremely sustainable public transport system. It is a very fast and green way of traffic, which is attractive for cyclists, commuters, students, and residents. It is expected that this fast and frequent connection between two buildings. The cable car departs every 10 minutes, and people can enjoy different scenery in the air.

Just like the scenes in Hayao Miyazaki's movies, the shrine is hidden in the reinforced concrete of the urban forest. People can see the torii gate through the long sky corridor. Together with these sites, the connecting pilgrimage routes, and surroundings form a cultural landscape that reflects the fusion of Shintoism with the ancient tradition of nature worship in Japan.

FREEDOM

Izakaya offers a selection of sake, as Kiyomizu is known as the place of pristine water. By providing a sake-tasting experience, Izakaya brings all customers a profound opportunity to feel relaxed, together with sufficient single seats in the restaurants eating alone is no longer impossible during the daytime. At night, indoor lighting on the Ukiyoe curtain will attract and guide customers into the restaurant.

After a long period of home isolation, people's hearts long for freedom. The curved shape of the curved installation adds three-dimensionality and experience to the urban expression in the post-epidemic era. We rebuild a ‘FREEDOM’ in post-Covid, intended to spark the imagination of passers-by with simple arresting confidence and joyous optimism.
