So, we're Back

This year has been a bit different... to say the least. As restrictions ease, it’s been wonderful to get back out into our community, but we do it knowing that things could change at any moment.

When the lockdown came to Queensland, we recognised the impact it would have on our community, so we decided to drop everything to do what we could to assist. We focused on supporting local businesses and using our reach to let our readers know how they could safely support these businesses.

During the lockdown, we opened our social media pages to promote the unique services and products that our local businesses were offering. We also launched our new website - www.lovingnundah.com.au - and included free listings for over 150 local businesses.

We had great support from our readers - and from our local business owners - and there was a real sense that we were all in this together. It kept us going to know that there are so many people out there who share our passion for supporting local.

We're so grateful to have our print magazine back in action. With many local newspapers going 'digital' (disappearing), our job is now more important than ever. We're the only dedicated

print publication in this area of Brisbane. Print isn't all that we do - we also have a digital audience on social media, website and our eNewsletter subscribers. Our print magazine has always had a wonderful response from people and the businesses who use us to reach out to the community. We can barely keep our stands full when the magazine comes out!

This year has been a struggle for many but when you read this issue of Loving Nundah, we hope you’re reminded of all the things we can celebrate about our fantastic community. Our goal - in every edition - is to connect people in our community and to encourage you to get out there. We want you to know your local cafe and business owners, the person who cuts your hair, and the person who helps you with that home improvement job. We need to look after each other now, more than ever.

We've spent the last 7 years producing positive content about our local area - and we can't wait to share more of your stories, news and updates.

Here's to supporting local and looking out for each other.
