Northgate Ward Update
As your local Councillor, I have a very strong focus on the future of our area, how we plan for inevitable changes, and how we ensure that the Brisbane of tomorrow is even better than the Brisbane of today.

Hows and Melton Rds, Nundah Intersection Upgrade
A number of residents have mentioned the challenges at the intersection of Hows and Melton Roads, Nundah. This project has been on my list of priorities for sometime. I have been advocating on behalf of residents and working to achieve the best outcome for pedestrians, cyclists and motorists.
I am pleased to have secured funding in this budget to install a roundabout at this difficult intersection. The upgrade aims to improve safety and congestion. I will keep residents up to date as the project progresses.
COVID-19: Support for Brisbane Businesses

The Taskforce will bolster and rebuild Brisbane’s economy in the wake of coronavirus. You can find a list of initiatives on Council’s Business in Brisbane website.

Suburban Shopfront Activation is a pilot program that encourages property owners with vacant premises in the suburbs to provide opportunities for temporary use by emerging businesses. We are also putting out a call to emerging businesses that are interested in occupying a temporary space.
