EUROPE
The Grieg Academy, Bergen, Norway A high-level music conservatory based at the University of Bergen. Requirements: Jazz and classical performance majors only. * Technische Universität Dortmund, Dortmund, Germany A respected research university in Dortmund, a city known for football (soccer) and as the region’s “green city.” Classes in English and German with a onemonth pre-session intensive German program. Internships available. Requirements: Two semesters of collegelevel German (or equivalent) recommended; minimum 2.75 GPA. Available for spring or full year only. * École Supérieure du Commerce Extérieur (ESCE), Paris, France A well-respected International Business School located in the heart of Paris with business courses in English and French as well as courses
* Mission Interuniversitaire de Coordination des Échanges FrancoAméricains (MICEFA), Paris, France A consortium of 16 universities in metropolitan Paris allowing students to take academic courses at a specific university and MICEFA in English and French. Requirements: Four semesters of collegelevel French (or equivalent proficiency); minimum 2.5 GPA. * Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, Milan, Italy Europe’s largest Catholic university located in the Italian center of business, banking and fashion. UCSC International Curriculum has courses in business, Italian culture, fashion, and much more. Pre-session language course available. Recommendation: Two semesters of college-level Italian (or equivalent). * Radboud University, Nijmegen, The Netherlands A leading Dutch academic institution located in Nijmegen, a small historic
city, with over 200 courses in English in a wide variety of disciplines from sciences to gender studies. * Universiteit van Amsterdam (UvA), Amsterdam, The Netherlands An internationally ranked institution and one of the largest research universities in Europe with over 30,000 students, UvA is located in the heart of one of the most iconic cities in the world. Interdisciplinary courses taught in English are offered in humanities, social sciences, psychology, business and economics, and future planet studies. * Universidad Pontificia Comillas-ICADE, Madrid, Spain Located in the political, financial and cultural heart of Spain, Comillas, a Jesuit university, offers courses in English and Spanish in business, Spanish language and culture, humanities and social sciences. Requirements: Two semesters of collegelevel Spanish (or equivalent); minimum 2.75 GPA. Escuela Superior de Administración y Dirección de Empresas (ESADE), Barcelona, Spain One of the top 10 business schools in Europe, ESADE is located just outside Barcelona in Sant Cugat. Business and a few common curriculum courses are offered in English and Spanish. A free two-week pre-session language program is offered. Requirements: Two semesters of college-level Spanish (or equivalent); only open to students enrolled in the College of Business. * Koç University, Istanbul, Turkey Located in the historic city of Istanbul, where east and west meet, Koç is an internationally ranked university. Classes taught in English in business, social sciences, humanities, the sciences, design and digital film.

UNITED KINGDOM & IRELAND
The University of Birmingham, Birmingham, United Kingdom A research university with exceptional music and theater programs located in Birmingham, one of the youngest and most diverse cities in the U.K. Courses are available for all disciplines. * The University of East Anglia (UEA), Norwich, England With strong programs in creative writing, international development, environmental sciences, and law, UEA is located in the small, historic city of Norwich, which is designated as a UNESCO City of Literature. Courses are available for all disciplines. * Maynooth University, Maynooth, Ireland Located only 20 minutes from Dublin, Maynooth is Ireland’s second oldest university and offers courses in most disciplines including Celtic studies and music technology.
ASIA
* Sogang University, Seoul, South Korea A Jesuit university in the heart of downtown Seoul with 30% of their courses offered in English in multiple disciplines. Highlights of program include internships in STEM fields, an AACSB accredited business program, service learning opportunities and Korean language courses. No Korean language experience is required. * Sophia University, Tokyo, Japan Enroll alongside Japanese students to take classes taught in English on business, liberal arts, and science at a Jesuit institution in the bustling, historic, and modern capital of Japan. Recommendation: Two semester of Japanese language or equivalent. Available for spring and full year only. * The Beijing Center, Beijing, China This Jesuit program combines courses taught in English and Chinese, opportunities for immersion, and academic excursions across the country, such as the Silk Road, for a well-rounded understanding of China. Sophomores can apply. No previous Chinese language is required.
OCEANIA * Massey University, Auckland, Palmerston North, and Wellington, New Zealand Massey is one of New Zealand’s largest universities with three campuses across the North Island offering courses in a broad range of fields including humanities and social sciences, communications, visual arts, graphic design, popular and commercial music, and unique courses on New Zealand’s culture, history, and environment. Australian Catholic University (ACU), Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane, Australia ACU is a publicly funded Catholic institution offering Loyola students the opportunity to study courses in a broad range of fields at their choice of campuses in the cities of Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane.
LATIN AMERICA
Pontificia Universidad Católica del Ecuador (PUCE), Quito, Ecuador At this Jesuit university located in the Ecuadorian capital of Quito, students can study Spanish and take a variety of academic classes in English or in Spanish. This program includes homestays, group trips to the Amazon and the Galapagos, and opportunities to participate in biology courses and lab assistantships in English. Requirements: Two semesters Spanish (or equivalent) for English program; five semesters of Spanish (or equivalent) to take academic courses taught in Spanish; minimum 2.75 GPA. Spring semester only. Universidad del Salvador, Buenos Aires, Argentina Study Spanish, and choose from a variety of academic classes in English or in Spanish at this prestigious school in the heart of Buenos Aires. Requirements: Two semesters Spanish (or equivalent) for English program; four semesters of Spanish (or equivalent) to take academic courses taught in Spanish; minimum 2.75 GPA. * Pontificía Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil A Jesuit university in the second largest Brazilian city offering Portuguese language classes and courses taught in English on politics, culture, and business. Requirements: Advanced Spanish language skills or at least one year of Portuguese (or equivalent).
* These universities also offer summer programs. Note that summer programs typically do not count as exchange, so students will pay program tuition. If students have any financial aid or scholarships for use in the summer, then it can be used for these programs.

Programs typically last from one week to four and are offered in the locations below. ISEP EXCHANGE AND DIRECT PROGRAMS: International Student Exchange Programs (ISEP) is a consortium of more than 150 institutions in more than 50 countries that provides Loyola students with expanded exchange opportunities. Students must be flexible in placement and can list multiple institutions on their applications. Primarily used for semester options, ISEP also has many affordable summer options.
