Community Service As part of the Loyola MBA program, all MBA students must complete 30 hours of community service for a nonprofit organization prior to graduation. This component adds a unique element of ethical value to your education, which is extremely important to employers in a post-Enron environment. By participating in community service events, you are better prepared to become a socially responsible business and community leader. Many MBA students work together to complete their 30 hours of community service. Therefore, you have an opportunity to act as a leader in coordinating community service events. It’s a great way to help the community and learn more about your fellow MBAs outside the classroom. Community service opportunities are abundant in New Orleans as the city continues to rebuild. Jesuit Tradition The hallmark of a Loyola education can be summed up in a simple phrase: We produce citizens of the world. A Jesuit education happens on many levels to develop a fully integrated member of human society. Loyola seeks to prepare its students to be active participants on the global stage. Rather than simply teaching our future graduates what to think, we teach them how to think. These critical distinctions are at the very heart of what it means to receive a Jesuit education at Loyola. These characteristics provide the foundation of the MBA education at Loyola. This program strives to sharpen and reinforce your skills as socially responsible business leaders. The MBA program at Loyola is part of the Jesuit MBA network. The MBA programs within this network work together to promote opportunities for all MBA students. "Small class sizes allow students to engage in relative class discussions to get a more well-rounded perspective of the subject matter. With students coming from different backgrounds and having different work experiences, these discussions allow for multiple perspectives on class topics." –Brian Muller, current MBA student

I had some apprehension about returning to school given the fact that I have been out of school for over five years and that I wanted to continue working a fulltime job. However the faculty and staff have done an excellent job of easing my transition. The small class sizes are also a huge plus.” –Ra’Shaud Haines current MBA student
