21st Anniversary Benefit Concert

To Support Malachi House

Dear Friends,

Céad míle fáilte! One hundred thousand welcomes to you as we share an extraordinary evening of entertainment, fellowship and fun! We are so grateful to have the Merry Ploughboys here in Cleveland to share and celebrate traditional Irish music in support of the residents of Malachi House.

By supporting the 21st Annual Merry Ploughboys Benefit Concert tonight, you directly help our residents. This year, it is an honor to present our Malachi House Community Service Award to Sean Lackey for his unwavering support and dedication of our mission.

Malachi House, nestled in Cleveland’s historic Ohio City neighborhood, Cofounded in 1987 by Fr. Paul Hritz (1923-2013) and Catherine “Kaki” O’Neill, serves persons who are terminally ill, who have no financial means or caregiving support. Since we opened our doors on September 28, 1988, our caregivers, volunteers, staff, Board of Trustees and Associate Board, along with the assistance of hospice teams, have lovingly provided physical, emotional, and spiritual care to those embarking on life’s last journey.

Our home provides loving and dignified care to every one of our residents completely free of charge through the generosity of individuals, corporations and foundations. We receive no government support, insurance fees or Medicaid reimbursement to provide the 24/7 individualized attention our residents would not have without Malachi House. We have served over 2,600 residents to date.

Thank you for coming to our event and for enhancing the quality of our residents’ lives in their final days.
