Critically acclaimed, multiplatinum singer-songwriter John Legend has garnered 12 Grammy Awards, an Academy Award, a Golden Globe Award, a Tony Award, and an Emmy Award, among others. He is the first African American man to earn an EGOT and one of only 19 people in the prestigious EGOT club.
Legend has released eight celebrated albums over the course of his career, including Get Lifted (2004), Once Again (2006), Evolver (2008), Love in the Future (2013), Darkness and Light (2016), A Legendary Christmas Deluxe (2019), Bigger Love (2020), and most recently, LEGEND (2022).
Legend starred in NBC’s Jesus Christ Superstar Live in Concert in April 2018, for which he received an Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Limited Series or Movie and won an Emmy as a producer in the category of Outstanding Variety Special (Live). Legend joined The Voice in 2019 for Season 16 and was a coach on Season 22 (2022). In April 2022, he launched his critically acclaimed Las Vegas residency, “Love in Las Vegas,” at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino.
Beyond his music career, Legend, along with partners Mike Jackson and Ty Stiklorius, is a principal of Get Lifted Film Co., which produced the Netflix films Jingle Jangle: A Christmas Journey and Monster, the IFC/AMC comedy series Sherman’s Showcase, and the HBO docuseries Atlanta’s Missing and Murdered: The Lost Children, alongside many other projects. They have also partnered with Zando to form Get Lifted Books, under which they publish brilliant authors in both adult fiction and nonfiction, as well as titles for young readers.
As an activist, Legend launched HUMANLEVEL in 2021, an initiative to uplift communities disproportionately impacted by institutionalized racism. He also initiated the #FREEAMERICA campaign in 2015 to change the conversation surrounding criminal justice policies and to end mass incarceration. In addition to Legend’s signature initiatives, he serves on the board of directors of Harlem Village Academies and Management Leadership for Tomorrow, and on the advisory boards for the Quattrone Center for the Fair Administration of Justice at the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School and Teach for All.

American conductor Anthony Parnther is in his fifth season as music director of the San Bernardino Symphony Orchestra. As conductor of the Gateways Music Festival Orchestra, Parnther led its sold-out Carnegie Hall debut, showcasing the world premiere of I Can by five-time Grammy-winner Jon Batiste.
A master of multiple genres, Parnther has conducted many of the world’s preeminent artists, from Joshua Bell, Lynn Harrell, and Jessye Norman to Imagine Dragons, Wu-Tang Clan, and Rihanna . Recent highlights include guest appearances with the Los Angeles Philharmonic, Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, Sydney Symphony Orchestra, and Chineke! Orchestra, with which Parnther made his BBC Proms debut.
Dedicated to amplifying traditionally underrepresented voices, Parnther has reconstructed and performed orchestral works by Margaret Bonds, Duke Ellington, Zenobia Powell Perry, Florence Price, William Grant Still, and Samuel Coleridge-Taylor.
He led Los Angeles Opera’s world premiere of Tamar-kali ’s oratorio We Hold These Truths and Long Beach Opera’s revival of Anthony Davis’s Pulitzer Prize–winning The Central Park Five. For his extensive championing of works by Black, Latino, and women composers, Parnther was profiled in 2015 as a “Local Hero” by PBS SoCal/KCET. He was also featured in a New York Times profile for his New York Philharmonic debut.
As one of today’s foremost film conductors, Parnther helms recording sessions for many of the world’s top feature films and television series, working in close collaboration with some of the most decorated media composers on the scoring stages of Los Angeles, San Francisco, Nashville, Budapest, Glasgow, and London. Recent projects include Avatar: The Way of Water, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, and Oppenheimer.
Parnther returns to lead The Cleveland Orchestra in Marvel Studios’ Black Panther in Concert at Severance on March 28 and 29, 2025.

This roster lists full-time members of The Cleveland Orchestra. The number and seating of musicians onstage varies depending on the piece being performed. Seating within the string sections rotates on a periodic basis.
YOUR VISIT
LATE SEATING
Guests with Pavilion seats who arrive after the start of the concert may be asked to wait outside the Pavilion until the first convenient pause in the music, after which our ushers will help you to your seats.
LAWN SEATING
For this performance, guests on the Lawn are not allowed to bring their own chairs. Rental chairs are available for a fee of $10. Tents, flags, balloons, or other structures that might obstruct views or present a hazard are prohibited. Open flames are also prohibited.
PHOTOGRAPHY, VIDEOGRAPHY & RECORDING
Audio recording, photography, and videography are prohibited during performances at Blossom. Photographs and videos can only be taken when the performance is not in progress. As a courtesy to others, please silence all electronic devices prior to the start of the concert.
SMOKING
All Blossom Music Festival events are presented in a smoke-free environment. Smoking or
vaping are not allowed anywhere on the grounds or in buildings once you have entered through the ticket gates. A smoking area is available outside the gates in a designated area of Parking Lot A.
WEATHER INFORMATION

FREE TRAM SERVICE
For this performance, the free tram service will operate only between the parking lots and Smith Plaza. Golf carts are available to assist guests with mobility issues to and from the Pavilion.
