No reference to women writers would be complete if we didn’t include Mary Shelley. Mary Shelly (1757-1891) was an English writer; her novel Frankestein depicted human loneliness, as Frankestein, a creature evoking fear to everyone he encountered, was doomed to experience rejection. Frankestein was created in a laboratory by a scientist, asks his creator to give the present of a female companion. A truly sad story, one of the best ones ever written, inspired by Gothic tales.

This work is in the public domain in its country of origin and other countries and areas where the copyright term is the author's life plus 70 years or less.

CONCLUSION

We think that there is still a long way to go for women to continue gaining ground in this world, as it is still dominated by men.
