Yacht services Classification, certification and consulting from Lloyd’s Register
Lloyd’s Register (LR) has been involved with the classification of sail and motor yachts for more than 150 years. As the size, sophistication and complexity of yachts have increased, our services have expanded to provide tailored solutions to this specialist industry. Today, our technical expertise is meeting the demand for innovative yachts that are designed and operated to perform better in every way, from the levels of comfort they provide to the technologies they employ. Classification Understanding your needs We understand that owners, designers and builders of luxury yachts require a service that delivers innovative design while meeting high standards of safety, comfort and reliability. Our extensive experience, gained during the design, construction and operation of large yachts around the world, gives us a lead when it comes to understanding your requirements. We provide assistance at every stage, from concept development, through design and construction to operation. At all times, we help ensure that the yacht complies with construction and safety standards, while allowing the designer, builder and technical consultants
the flexibility to create a yacht which achieves the owner’s expectation. We have worked together with all the major yacht designers, technical consultants and builders, and currently we are supporting around 30 unique new construction projects.
