Feed the Kids has been an enjoyable recurring event! Being able to directly serve my community through providing and distributing food for those directly in my area has been enjoyable. Seeing the bags pile up over time has been a great visualization of the impact on our community created by volunteering. The uplifting environment of everyone serving for a common cause was a pleasure to be a part of.

MANSFIELD MIS
Bright and early one Friday morning I wake up to my alarm, and I look at the clock which reads 5:45. Begrudgingly, I roll out of bed and start my day. I get dressed and ready before being picked up by the Lake Ridge Social Coordinator, Lananh La Together we go to pick up our Treasurer, Jude Pham Lananh drives all of us to go to the Kiwanis meeting at Market Street, where we meet up with our President, Chris Do, our Vice President, Daniel Alverado, our Editor, Victoria Tawaran, and our LGT, Madison Nguyen We listen to the meeting as a group and then carpool to Chick-fil-a for breakfast as
a club We also invited some of the Mansfield Key Club members to go with us Laughing with everybody at breakfast was already so much fun and immediately abolished any annoyance I still held after having to wake up so early in the morning
After eating breakfast, we all go to the Mission Mansfield Thrift Center to volunteer at an interclub event with members from Lake Ridge, Mansfield High, and Legacy in attendance Vikki (or Victoria, the editor) and I paired up and were tasked to redress some of the mannequins on display. Searching for clothes and finding an adequate outfit was so much fun; I couldn’t have asked for a better assignment when volunteering or a person to be paired with
