Major Emphasis Projects
Law Enforcement Explorers Competition On June 10th, our Lake Ridge Key Clubbers volunteered at Legacy High School for the Law Enforcement Explorers Competition. Volunteers were asked to be actors and act out different scenarios for the competing law enforcement teams. Volunteers enjoyed the unique experience and a blast putting their acting skills to test by wearing costumes and acting out different criminal scenarios. Overall, our Lake Ridge Key Clubbers had a great experience and continue to value the power in their community.
Feed the Kids for the Summer Feed the Kids for the Summer is a program that is sponsored by the Mansfield Kiwanis Club that helps students of Mansfield ISD be able to have a food supplemented during the Summer when school is out. Each student can receive a bag of food containing nutritious food that can be prepared without the use of an oven or stove. These bags are distributed each week through the student's nearest food pantry. Our Lake Ridge Key Clubbers had the pleasure each Wednesday to help the Feed the Kids program by volunteering at the Mansfield Cares Warehouse in order to help the facility by organizing the food, filling the food bags with nutritious goodies, and distributing the food bags to the local food pantries. Overall, Our Key Clubbers enjoyed representing Key Club by serving both their community and the underprivileged kids of Mansfield.
