Welcome back, and Happy New Year to all of our customers, supplier partners and team members. I hope everyone had a break, and I wish everyone all the very best for 2019 and the year ahead.

In December I had the chance to visit most of our branches and talk to customers, and the Association meetings I attended were vibrant and busy. I’m looking forward to the year ahead and I’m excited about all the new developments around LSC’s product, people and service offerings. Particularly in products, it seems the pace of change keeps picking up. I heard a few people saying that the building industry was looking a bit soft in 2019, but I feel locksmiths and security professionals have so much to offer customers in the way of increasing their security that this won’t be an issue. Everything is rapidly becoming more connected, and we’re seeing more and more products fitting into the “Internet of Things” (IoT) category and offering more convenience, mobile access, remote control, and greater security potential. I’m proud of the work our team does in sourcing these new devices. Research consistently shows people prefer to buy from brands they know and trust. The year ahead will see our folio expand to include more quality products across both mechanical and electronic security from all your most trusted brands. We’re undertaking construction works at our Distribution Centre to further improve our service offering, and are building a new Tech Hub for our Electronic Security and Technical Support teams, including offices, workshop, testing facilities and a new clean room for product kitting, packaging and updating. This reinforces the commitment we’re making to the future of our industry around electronic and high tech product. I remain highly optimistic and passionate about our industry, and our team can’t wait to get the year started and work with you to build success in your business. I would like to thank everyone for their continued support, and wish you all the very best for 2019.

TAFE Students Get Hands On Final year students from the local Skills Tech TAFE attended the Brisbane branch during their last week for a full day of all things automotive.
