More than 100 Chamber Women Attend Second Annual Leading Ladies Conference The Lee’s Summit and Grandview chambers of commerce partnered on April 2 to present the second annual Leading Ladies Women’s Conference at the Aspen Room at the Stanley. Guests enjoyed a catered lunch, three keynote presentations, vendor showcases and a cocktail reception. “We are always looking for new ways to help our member businesses,” said Chrissy Symes, Lee’s Summit Chamber director of special events. “I had heard about a similar women’s event while attending a chamber conference, and thought it would be a great opportunity for our female members. It was also fun to partner with the Grandview Chamber, which provided new connections and networking opportunities for attendees.” The conference speakers focused on leadership, work-life balance and entrepreneurship. Keynote speakers were Anne Peterson, Anne Peterson Productions and former KCTV-5 News Anchor; Amy McAnarney, Vice President of External Relations, Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts; and LeAnn Carlson, Lauren’s Hope. Both chambers extend a special thank you to the following sponsors:
