Emergency Button Workflow

PANIC BUTTON WORKFLOW

OFFICER

Officer pushes panic button on bodycam

Is now aware that the communication center is viewing the live stream footage of his/her bodycam and hears the audio from the bodycam’s microphone.

Contacted by communication center from his/her radio. Unless the officer requests otherwise, backup will be sent to his or her location.

Attempt to contact officer via radio Communication center gets alert on main screen

Live stream of officer’s bodycam (audio+video) activates on screen

COMMUNICATION CENTER

Takes snap-shot of important information.

Proceeds as he/she would in the situation, with knowledge that backup is on its way.

Backup arrives at Officer’s location

Location is tracked by bodycam GPS

Backup sent... Unless officer gives the “OK”

Find out as much intel as you can through video and officer

Officer communicates through radio that backup is not needed

Track officers bodycam GPS

Officer communicates through radio a false alarm

Supervisor is notified of a “Signal 50 Video”

Continue to monitor situation Distribue information (snapshots)

Communication center can stream backup officers’ bodycams for a multi-view approach if necessary
