MESSAGE FROM THE CHAIR Dear Friends, On behalf of the ASMBS Canadian Chapter, I am pleased to extend this invitation to attend the 2nd International Consensus Conference on Duodenal Switch (ICCDS 2017) to our colleagues in the field of obesity and related disorders. This Conference, being held as part of Canadian Obesity Weekend, is a first of its kind in Canada, and is scheduled for May 18-20, 2017 at the Sheraton on the Falls hotel in Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada. We will kick off Canadian Obesity Weekend with our Pre-Conference Workshop on Duodenal Switch. The scientific content allows delegates to hear from 15 renowned international leaders as they share their expertise on DS and its variants. The program will feature 8 live surgeries by high caliber operators from around the world. Delegates will be able to “Meet and Greet the Faculty” during our Wine & Cheese Reception. We hope you will use this networking opportunity, both to acquire information pertinent to your practice and to enjoy the camaraderie among colleagues and friends. Niagara Falls is one of Canada’s perfect gems! It has incredible power and beauty, and is rich with fascinating history and cultural heritage – a perfect place for a meeting of the minds. Plan to spend some time enjoying the many attractions, food and culture available here. Visit our website for all Niagara Falls has to offer!
