Individuals with Acquired Brain Injury, including stroke and organic personality disorder.

Adults with degenerative neurological conditions and complex physical health needs.

Individuals with degenerative conditions who are inappropriately placed in the Criminal Justice System.

Complex dementias, Huntington’s and Korsakoff’s Syndrome.

EXPERTS IN CARING FOR THE UNIQUE NEEDS OF PATIENTS WITH ABI Within a bespoke environment incorporating evidence-based design features, our specialised multidisciplinary team is equipped to provide expert care to people presenting with cognitive problems, challenging behaviour, and both physical and psychiatric comorbidities.

Taking a neuro behavioural approach we are experienced in psychological assessment and behavioural analysis to formulate positive behavioural management plans aimed at supporting successful transitional rehabilitation of the individuals in our service.

Our homely environments are designed to reduce stress and to help people who have difficulty with new learning, memory loss, reduced capacity, or mobility issues to adapt to new situations and experiences. St Peter’s has its own separate therapy and activities wing offering patients access to specialist activity suites.

Set in a beautiful semi-rural location between Newport and Chepstow in South Wales, it is easily accessible from both Severn Bridge crossings.

We are able to provide treatment to informal patients and patients detained under the Mental Health Act, as well as patients undergoing treatment under the Mental Capacity Act.

At St Peter’s Hospital we provide a comprehensive sixteen week multidisciplinary assessment for the transitional rehabilitation of individuals with complex organic conditions, including significant mental and physical health needs and challenging behaviours.

LONGER TERM REHABILITATION Longer term rehabilitation is also offered for those individuals who may require lengthier support or whose condition is likely to deteriorate further.
