Congratulations on a great season The Daily Review would like to thank all of the hard working folks that helped make this Dixie Youth edition possible. The teams played hard and made it deep into the playoffs, in some cases, and in others, worked hard and are primed for next year’s competition. A few folks, in particular, come to
mind: Seth Thomas, Charles Pratt, Vanessa Pinho, Valerie LeBlanc, Karhi Anslum, John Hover, Jeff Blum and many others we are surely leaving out. Thanks for your effort in taking stats, jotting down scores, chasing down rosters and taking photos (sometimes better than our own) that make this section possible.

Dixie Youth Player’s Prayer Lord, give me strength to hit that ball; And if I should, don’t let me fall. Help me to pick the one that’s right; Then let me knock it ’way out of sight. Then help me run, with deer-like grace; Don’t let me slip, but tag first base. Then on to second, stay with me, Lord; ’Cause this one out, we can’t afford. Then let me zoom, like a flying bird, Right down the line, and on past third. Then let me slide, with foot out-thrust, Across home plate, through swirling dust. But first of all, dear Lord, I Pray, Just tell the coach to let me play. Don. J. Gates
