8:30-11:45 Sunday-Thursday FOUNDATIONS OF JEWISH LIFE
LEVEL: Intro./Open to All FACULTY NOTE: Sun, Mon, Tues, Wed, Thurs, 8:30-10:00, 10:15-11:45 This track is designed for students to gain Jewish knowledge, comfort, and selfconfidence for the Shabbat table, holiday celebrations, and Jewish life cycle events. At the same time, students will learn the larger themes and values of Jewish life. Areas of study will include Biblical texts (the weekly portion and Biblical history), themes relevant to the holidays (in particular those of the second semester: Purim, Passover, and Shavuot), and the Jewish life cycle.
