BASILEUS MESSAGE

Greetings Sorors, Volume 2 Issue 10

It has been a honor and privilege to serve as your Basileus for the past two years. This journey began at my first meeting when I talked about what I would take from each Basileus that came before me, I talked about my vision, our values, the mission we would take and lastly, I told you what my charge would be. I knew coming in “The Upcoming Events in December Dream was Easy, but The Journey Would Not Be” and that before I could blink an eye, all the good times and bad would be behind me. Nevertheless, when I got to this 10th—TPF Board and LTO position two years ago, I never imagined how connected I would be to such a warm, Executive Committee Meetings loving and caring chapter. We have overcome so many trail’s and tribulations and as a at St. Andrews Church 6:30PM result we are a bigger and better chapter equipped, ready, prepared and headed for new and greater heights in the New Year. I am excited and will be forever grateful for 14th—TPF Membership and the experience I have enjoyed over the past two years. Some people judge their lives on what they do, others on who they are. I want my life judged on the friends I keep, LTO Chapter Meeting at and how enriched I am from just knowing each of you. Olympia Fields Country Club, Olympia Fields, Illinois Lastly, to see all of you seated before me on December 14, 2013, for the last time, was a picture I will treasure for a very long time. To my administrative team, officers and 27th—All hard copy reports are committee chairmen, we could not have succeeded as a chapter without you. Thank due to Basileus you from the bottom of my heart. Soror Joyce Nelson acknowledged each group of sorors who she uniquely named according to how they supported her during her term as Basileus. Superwoman and Wonder Woman, don’t run an organization without them, Golden Girls are needed for wisdom, keep them close, Sincere Appreciation, do it just because, This is a serious matter and Serious Sorors are needed, Every group needs someone to mix things up and that’s why you have mixers, As you prepare to move forward you need H.O.P.E. because with hope comes joy and last but certainly not least if there is no light how can you see where you are going without Carriers of Light.
