BASILEUS MESSAGE Volume 2 Issue 9 Nov. 2013
Greetings Sorors,
Fall is upon and we must fall in line. Fall in line to be of service to all mankind. Fall in line to prepare yourself for a leadership role. Leaders who have impacted my life and career share some critical core attributes. They are authentic, reliable, and anchored in their beliefs. Their passion has been inspirational to me and their ability to focus on others in a genuine way has made it easy for me to tap into their generosity time and time again. A key to leadership is recognizing that sometimes you will lead from the front, introducing new paradigms or necessary changes and at other Upcoming Events in November times you will be leading from behind, encouraging others to discover their own strengths and allowing them to support each other while you support their efforts. 5th—TPF Board and LTO Executive Committee Meetings I think of myself as an accidental leader, someone whose passion led to a lot of bobble at St. Andrews Church 6:30PM -head behavior. A good idea is presented, I get passionate about it, my head starts nodding, and next thing I know, I am engaged in something new, challenging, fun, 9th—TPF Membership and LTO exciting, and sometimes more than I bargained for. But here is the kicker, I don't Chapter Meeting at St. Andrews regret any of it. I am just as excited to go to our chapter meetings, cluster retreats, regional conferences, Boules and Leadership Conferences as I was in the '90s when I Church 2:00PM. Please Note was younger in years and knowledge. Sorors I have been led from the front and *****LTO Chapter voting will pushed from behind and in the process have grown and been given many opportunities to engage in our organization. The encouragement from behind has been as begin at 3:15—4:15PM valuable as the inspiration from the front and I want to encourage you all to take a moment as the administration prepares to change to engage and figure out how your 20th—Cotillion 2014 Parent leadership skills are being honed. Are you ready to received the torch? Have you Meeting at 7:00PM See Soror engaged enough? Have you thanked someone for their leadership who you feel has Saundra Jones for details done a good job? Have you given a push from behind to an aspiring leader in our chapter? 23rd—Sisterly Relations/ Membership activity
We need strong, authentic, focused leaders to keep Lambda Tau Omega Chapter moving forward. There are too many of you that come to mind for me to list names, you know who you are. Please engage in the activities of our chapter, come to the committee meetings, participate in the conferences, and most importantly, recognize that you were a leader today and can have even more exciting times ahead if you nod your head and actively seek out the right opportunities. Don't hesitate to contact our chapter leaders if you need anything, we are listening and willing to assist you in any way we can. Well sorors in less than 60 days I will prepare to take a seat along side many of you eager and excited to support our Basileus Elect as you have supported me.
