In 2013 Second German Television (ZDF) released the mini-series „Our mothers, our fathers” which presents soldiers of the Polish Home Army (AK) as anti-Semites complicit in the extermination of Jews. Such falsification of history is a gross insult to the memory and honour of the members of the Polish Underground State and other organizations like National Armed Forces, who did more to save Holocaust victims than any other resistance movement in German-occupied Europe (e.g. the missions of Witold Pilecki and Jan Karski, the Council to Aid Jews ‘Żegota’, death penalty for denoucing hiding Jews, the liberation of the Holýšov death camp by the Holy Cross Mountains Brigade of the National Armed Forces). This story is a reaction against this attempt to diminish the responsibility of Nazi Germany for the crimes of WW2. On December 28 2018 a court in Cracov sentenced ZDF to a compensation and an apology to the plaintiff, the 94-year-old AK veteran and the survivor of a German concentration camp Zbigniew Radłowski.
