June 4 and June 5 2020 at Mount Sinai Kravis Children’s Hospital Take part in a two-day intensive in our KidZone TV production studio. Experience hands-on instructional and interactive sessions culminating in the production of your own new media content!

Participants Will Leave With a Greater Understanding of:  Using television, new media, and technology as therapeutic and expressive creative arts modalities  How to develop appropriate programming to meet the unique needs of hospitalized children and their families.  A basic operating skill set of studio and mobile equipment.  The importance integrating non clinical staff to meet the developmental and psychosocial needs of patients and families.

Attend DAY 2 for hands on sessions on creating patient centered content.

Additional Pre-Workshop Session:

Attend Wednesday, June 3rd for a three hour hands on tutorial on 3D printing and remote telepresence robots. Learn how to create 3D portraits of patients and families using full body scanning and printing tools. Test drive two different telepresence robots and explore how to use with your populations.

Workshop Details: This workshop will be held in the Child Life Zone of the Mount Sinai Kravis Children’s Hospital at 1184 5th Ave, New York, New York 10029.

Each day begins with a light breakfast at 8:30 A.M. A box lunch will be provided for day one. You will receive a detailed hourly schedule and other information upon registration confirmation.
