This book is a collection of found photographic prints, mostly found in darkrooms and printing facilities. The works displayed in the book are either final prints or scrap prints, including some BW darkroom test strips. These prints have been re-photographed in a still-life setup, choice that aims at underlining the objectified nature of a photographic print and its status of artefact. Each image is shot digitally in studio on a perspex table and presented in the book together with a short, analytical description of the - presumed - subject, dimension and qualities of the print and whereas originally available, the year and the author. Even though the material collected consists only of found images, the cover of the book was purposely planned and shot in studio. The audience targeted by this work would be heterogeneous, with more attention to the photography-acknowledged reader.
