Actual Situacion Tejo Riverfront

Building like Public Space Faculdade de Arquitectura Urbanismo Villanova Artigas 1961, Sao Paulo

Symbolic Power Palazzo dell’acqua e della luce Pier Luigi Nervi 1940, Roma

City of Sports Lisboa Lisbon, Portugal, Diploma Olgiati Public Palace XXL The project area involves the Lisbon area compressed between two limits: the old town and the river. This is a landscape devoid of character which is not pleasant to spend time. The proposal of the workshop was to create public buildings that act as catalysts capable to encourage residents to take advantage of the riverfront as a public space of the city. My intention is to be able to interact with each other to the greatest number of people with similar interests, ages and different walks of life. With this in mind a proposal is made to exploit the theme of sport as an attraction for the whole community lisboneta creating a sports center which can serve as the center Town of Lisbon. The building consists of a series of staggered platforms linked together in which is disposed the entire sports program. This condition places the visitor and the user to share a single large space, which simultaneously interact with various types of sport and attitude. the Centre Sports is freely accessible by public elevators and a monumental staircase. The intention is not only to instill in athletes the consciousness of belonging to a large sporting community, but also to create an integration between sport and people generally difficult to find a contact. The structure, completely open air, is crossed by a ramp jogging and a spiral staircase that leads directly to the floor dedicated to restoration and inactivity. Sports, amateur and visitors are amalgamated into a single entity where the perception of and chances of meeting are similar to those of public space. a Selfstorage for Parisian Pavillionaires work exibition Pavillon de l’Arsenal, Paris Autumn 2012 Paris suburbia, France, Atelier K. Geers - OFFICE Architecture without content Big Box L The lot is located in a border area: between two districts, bordering the national park and two football stadiums. The building takes the same size of the stadiums, which represent the large scale of the neighborhood and stands in relation to them. The big box is located between the two stages of creating a public space that would give continuity to the neighborhood. The program is storage, a building that is quiet and with limited affluence. The structural idea follows directly the conditions of use of the building: the heavy and bulky objects will be placed on the ground floor where the mesh of pillars is more generous; climbing, the grid of pillars thickens as possible in order to divide the space and host objects smaller and smaller. The result is an empty big box that can be used over time in a more and different ways. The entrance is through the street of the neighborhood. If the big box size as it relates to the stadium, and it takes the shape and the identity, including the entrance, relating to the domestic scale of the neighborhood blends with

In between Community Spaces Palazzo della Ragione Palladio

Housing Complex Bellevoux with Christian Koopman Belevoux District, Losanne CH, Atelier Collomb - CUBE Social Housing L Social life and the community, are the main themes of the project. The layout of the building along the perimeter generates three great courts that solve the slope of the ground with three large terraces which present themselves as the center of life in the neighborhood. Each vacuum is characterized by an activity that has its equivalent: the first court as a play area in the green identifies the bocce courts, swimming pool and children’s area of residence, the central court is paved, localized as a meeting point with a bar and underground parking, and the last court more intimate, with the center lime tree as a place more meditative. This court system is a metaphor of the life and sees in the succession of the three places, the procession in different seasons of life: childhood, youth, old age.

Typical street atmosphere of Sevilla

Domestic - Monumental Kazuo Shinoara, Hashitaka House 1977

Architecture like landscale Inca Theatre

Theatre - Guest house for a Fat Lyric Singer Sevilla, Spain Atelier Olgiati Courtyard L In this semester each student had to think on the topic of the COURTYARD in architecture. The only limit of the student was the tipology work: site, size and the destination of the bulding are student choises. The idea of the project was to create a Couryard with two different destinations: sometimes is total private and sometimes is completly public. When the limits of the courtyard are closed is private, when these limits are open is public. I choose the city of Sevilla, It’s a really dense city full of winding streets that you can never seen the end, it’s easy to get lost. The private part is formed by the Main House for an Opera singer, directly connected to the courtyard, and the guests apartments: for all opera actors and singers invited to take part to the opera. In the section we can see the relation with the city and the big void of opened arena. So the courtyard is the garden of the house sometimes, the stage for the practice, and when the theatre is open to the public, this place became the area of the opera show or just a big plaza where people meet. The Arena System is composed by two ramps: one goes up, one goes down. This strategy permits the visitors to pass only one door and be directly in a huge space open to the sky. So the visitors can go trought this system as if it is a stone hill landscape. The building is made in stone, each peace of stone is shaped a trapezio, not just for a tectonics metter, but also not to avoid the people sitting inside to look outside. From outside the building look just like a wall of stone, to emphasize this image using stones of different sizes. Openings are made by removing a stone whenever it is necessary. Also the openings, are of different sizes to give the building more units. To declare the presence of the ramp, the openings follow the slope, ending with the facade. Woodden Tanzhalle in Hafencity work exibition Hafencity’s hall, Winter 2010 Hafencity, Hamburg Germany, Atelier Burkhalter&Sumi Timber Temporary Architecture M The project is expected in the Hafen City, the area of the big changes in the German city. The area is influenced by the famous urban plan of OMA, but also by the construction of buildings of various types, in particular way, it is next to the lot in question for the edification of Tanzhaus, the new center of the university and cultural center. The interest of the semester is directed towards the creation of a ‘wooden building, which will serve for a year pending approval of the new theater Hafen City. Wood as a sustainable and reusable: the effort devoted to the design of a building that was easy to build, dismantle and could be reused in its components. The theater is the world where everything is possible, the place where imagination becomes reality. The foyer, becomes the place where is the gap between the reality of the external world and the world of the possible. For this reason, takes the appearance of a filter, trough the forest of pillars. The theater is reduced to its pure meaning, an empty box that can always be used in different ways. The feeling of transience that is breathed in a zone of eternal trade was send in a building that needs to be shortlived and regular use.

B&B in a Farmer Village Valle Muggio, Ticino CH, Atelier Collomb - CUBE Housing S

The project area lies between the villages of Scudellate Roncapiano and 900m above sea level. The building is narrow and elongated to fit the contours and the steep slopes. Intention of the project is to adapt the content by evoking the tradition. Junction with the road is through a large empty indoor and becomes a vantage point to anyone passing through even when the guest is not inhabited. The rooms are arranged in different areas of the building in order to create different quality of life. The result is a building with different architectural qualities dictated by the details that only a designer can catch, through a contemporary building construction, while maintaining a close relationship with the tradition of the mountain, not wanting to create an object that was not understood by the community living in those place.

Holiday house for myself in a medieval village Pennabilli, Rimini Italia Atelier Olgiati Holiday house XS Each student must make a holiday home for himself: the place and dimensions are of free choice. My house is located in a medieval village about half an ‘hour from the city where I grew up. The lot that I have chosen is located in a privileged area of the country since it has a panoramic view. The batch is characterized by two quote in between, and my intent is to heal the two different levels of the street via a platform that will become a public space and put it under my home. The house becomes the foundation of this terrace. The house is divided into two different parts: a completely extroverted to the landscape and a completely introverted to a courtyard vintage characterized by the presence of a cherry tree. The space facing the view is the most public of the house of receipt for friends and family, the second is a space strictly private and personal. This division is most emphatically in the creation of two circulations independent.
