A sliver of future!
Linguaggi artistici contaminati, contagiati, contagiosi. Codici culturali volutamente infranti. Rovesciamenti di senso. Spaesamenti. Curiosità onnivora nel sentire, spregiudicatezza eclettica nel progettare fanno del Lucania Film Festival una combinazione ambiziosa di arti, situazioni, generi. Con al centro il Cinema in tutte le sue possibili declinazioni, il “Lucania” è un Festival interdisciplinare, multidiscplinare, indisciplinato, che dispensa bellezza e poesia e raccoglie dal mondo piccole-grandi storie per renderle universali. Proietta amore nel buio e ne riceve polvere di stelle. E’ un festival fatto di luce. Un Festival fotonico. Evento (sempre più) complesso che si rivolge a uno, dieci, cento pubblici. Eterogenei, contraddittori. Spesso inconciliabili. Il LFF ogni anno, da quattordici anni, dà inizio ad un tempo nuovo che prima non c’era. Proposte iconoclaste, eresie culturali, continui tradimenti della tradizione affinchè, non sembri un paradosso, essa possa tradursi in avanti, sempre nuova, sempre viva. Una scheggia di futuro!
Artistic languages contaminated and contagious. Cultural code intentionally broken. Turn – over of sense. Disorientation. Omnivorous curiosity in our perception, naughty ecletic in planning projects: all these aspects make the Lucania Film Festival an ambitious combination of arts, moments and of genres. With the Cinema as the main core, and all its possible forms, the “Lucania” is an interdisciplinary, multidisciplinary and unruly Festival , which dispenses beauty and poetry and collects small great stories from the world to make them universal. It screens love in the darkness and receives stardust. It is a festival of light. It is a photonic festival. It is an event more and more structured for one, ten, hundred sort of audience. Heterogeneous, contradictory. Often irreconcilable. Every year, from the age of fourteen, the LFF begins once again a new time that before there was not. Iconoclastic ideas, cultural heresies, continuous betrayal of tradition so as it does not seem a paradox, but it can look forward, always new, always alive. A sliver of future!

Joyce A. Nashawati è cresciuta ad Atene. Ha studiato cinema in Inghilterra e poi vinto una borsa di studio per una tesi di dottorato a Parigi dove attualmente vive e lavora. Il suo primo cortometraggio autoprodotto è The Umbrella (2008), premiato al Dubai International Film Festival. Il suo secondo cortometraggio è The Bite (2010), autoprodotto anche questo, ha ricevuto il Grand Prize al Gerardmer Fantastic Film Festival in Francia. E’ stato selezionato a Sitges, Edinburgo; Fantasia Sofia, Naoussa, Dubai, Bruxelles.. E’ in pre – produzione per Heatwave un thriller misterioso ambientato in Grecia e sta svolgendo, al contempo, la post- produzione di un cotrometraggio ambientato nel sud della Francia.
Fenia Cossovitsa è cofondatrice di Blonde, un’azienda ateniese indipendente di produzione cinematografica. Fenia vanta nel suo curriculum già 15 lungometraggi e documentari prodotti ed ha lavorato con celebri registi internazionalmente riconosciuti come Peter Bogdanovic per il film “The cat’s meow”, e Jonathan Nossiter per il film “Signs and Wonders”, e con Pierre – Alain Meier per il film “Thela”, girati tutti in Grecia. Blonde ha prodotto il set e il design per le Cerimonie di apertura e chiusura delle Olimpiadi di Atene del 2011, il secondo lungometraggio di Menelaos Karamaghiolis J.A.C.E.(, in collaborazione con Konstantinos Kontovrakis, il primo film di Yorgos Servetas “Standing aside, Watching”, e co- prodotto l’ultimo film di Brigitte Roüan “Tu Honoreras ta mere et ta mere” con AGAT Films distribuito in Francia lo scorso Febbraio e in Grecia il prossimo autunno dalla casa Village.
Joyce A. Nashawati grew up in Athens. She studied Film in the UK before getting a scholarship for a doctoral thesis in Paris where she lives and works. Her first short film The Umbrella (2008) self-produced, premiered in Dubai International Film Festival. Her second short film The Bite (2010), self-produced as well, got the Grand Prize at Gerardmer Fantastic Film Festival in France. It was selected in Sitges, Edinburgh, Fantasia Sofia, Naoussa, Dubai, Bruxelles… She is in pre-production of Heatwave, a mystery thriller set in Greece and in post-production of a short film set in the south of France.
Fenia Cossovitsa is co-founder of Blonde audiovisual productions, an Athens based independent film production company. s. Producer Fenia Cossovitsa counts already over 15 Greek and/or international feature films and documentaries in her resumé and has worked as a producer with internationally acclaimed filmmakers like Peter Bogdanovic for the film “The cat’s meow”, Jonathan Nossiter for the film,“Signs and wonders”, Pierre-Alain Meier for the film “Thelma”, shooting in Greece Blonde has also produced the set and the production design of the Opening and Closing Ceremonies of Athens Special Olympics 2011, she produced the second feature film by Menelaos Karamaghiolis J.A.C.E. has produced together with Konstantinos Kontovrakis a first feature film by Yorgos Servetas “Standing aside, Watching” actually in post-production, and she co-produced Brigitte Roüan’s latest feature “Tu Honoreras ta mere et ta mere” with AGAT Films which was released in France last February and will be released in Greece next autumn in Greece by VILLAGE. 6

Stephanie Capetanides è nata ad Atene. E’ metà francese e metà greca ed ha studiato recitazione a Parigi a “Cour Florent”, ottenendo una borsa di studio. Ha fatto teatro a Parigi e in seguito proseguito la sua carriera in televisione e cinema in Grecia, Italia e Germania. Ha ricevuto il premio come miglior attrice al Lucania film Festival nel 2012 per il suo ultimo film di produzione tedesca per la regia di Felix Stienz, dal titolo The doll, Fatso & me. Nota al grande pubblico nella sua madre patria, ha recitato nell’ultimo film di Vangelis Seitanidis dal titolo Include women out. Lavora da 9 anni come consulente artistico per il festival internazionale di Cinema di Naoussa. Stephanie Capetanides was born in Athens. She is half French half Greek and she studied acting in Paris in the cours Florent where she got scholarship. She did theater in Paris and after she continued her career in television and cinema in Greece, Italy and Germany. She received the prize of best actress in Lucania film festival 2012 for the german last long feature of Felix Stienz The doll, Fatso & me. Well known in her native country she acted in the last movie of Vangelis Seitanidis Include women out. She works also as an artistic consulter for 9 years in the international film festival of Naoussa.

Nonostante i suoni incessanti e il rumore penetrante che viene dall’altra parte del muro e forse proprio a causa del muro stesso, lei si ritrova innamorata del suo vicino.

A day in life of a young woman living a silent, lonely life with her friend the fish. The silence is broken when a new tenant comes to live in the apartment next door. Despite the constant sounds and noise penetrating from the other side of the wall and perhaps because of them, she finds herself falling in love with her neighbor
Forced to leave his old home in Wolkenberg because of resettlement, Mr L. finds himself in a small room packed with his belongings. The room is in a building in the middle of a vast industrial zone. Instead of checking that all of his possessions are there, Mr L. starts to explore his new accommodation and the immediate neighbourhood, step by step. His exploratory walk becomes a pilgrimage through a dying, failing world.
Based on the book that won the 2011 Greek State Award for Short Story, by writer Christos Economou, ‘’Something will turn up’’ is the story of Nicky, a woman living in modern-day Greece, who despite facing a financial impasse, struggles to remain hopeful and maintain her dignity.

Sinossi / Synopsis Un racconto breve ambientato nella vivace Londra, eppure in una desolata Trafalgar Square con un vecchio e piuttosto affamato cadavere e .. un piccione. Doppiato da Bill Nighty (L’amore davvero – Pirati dei Caraibi) e Stephen Mangan (“Green Wing”) il film è un racconto di compagnia ma anche un’impronta nella tessitura di una Londra monocromatica e scura, vista dalla prospettiva di un calmo e solitario protagonista.
Sinossi / Synopsis Come otterrai delle foto da una veloce macchina fotografica ? Certamente non potrai contare sull’aiuto di Fender o Baguette, e ancor meno su Josè, la zingara. Per quanto riguarda la polizia, loro sono impegnati con…i corvi!!
Sinossi / Synopsis Questo film descrive principalmente il profondo affetto che un marito ha per la propria moglie. Al marito piace dipingere la moglie persino dopo la sua morte; lui continuò a dipingerla ogni giorno. Nella speranza di rivederla, passò l’esistenza disegnando per salare il ricordo della sua amata.
A short tale set in London’s bustling, yet desolate Trafalgar Square about an ancient, rather hungry Corpse and... a Pigeon. Voiced by Bill Nighy (‘Love Actually’, ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’) and Stephen Mangan (‘Green Wing’) the film is a tale of companionship but also, a textural imprint of a dark, monochrome London from the perspective of a still, solitary protagonist.
How do you get photos out of a speed camera box ? You certainly should not count on the help of Fender and Baguette, and even less on José, the Gypsy. As for the police, they’re busy dealing with... ravens !

This film mainly describes the deep affection a husband has for his wife. The husband liked to paint his wife even when she passed away; he still painted for her every day. In hope to see his wife, he spent a lifetime drawing memorizing his beloved ones.

Sinossi / Synopsis Fish Boy è un adolescente che affronta le sfide della crescita. I suoi problemi sono particolarmente duri, soprattutto perché lui è diverso dagli altro: è metà ragazzo e metà pesce. La lotta del ragazzo contro lo stigma del rifiuto avviene in diverse dimensioni dei suoi rapporti interpersonali. In definitiva ,colpisce anche il rapporto del ragazzo – pesce con se stesso.
I-won’t-tell-you-whose voice over guides us through three extreme situations which are actually the same. Will you survive?
Fish Boy is a teenager facing the challenges of growing up. His problems are especially severe, as he is different from all others: He is half boy, half fish. The boy’s struggle with the stigma of rejection takes place in several dimensions of interpersonal relationships. Ultimately, it also affects Fish Boy’s relationship with himself.

Il più famoso artista contemporaneo cinese. Diretto, sfrontato, rivoluzionario. La verità di un dissidente dell’era digitale raccontato da vicino, un uomo che, con coraggio, ha abbattuto i confini tra arte e politica. Il governo cinese lo ha messo a tacere in tutti i modi: picchiandolo, oscurando il suo blog, rinchiudendolo in una detenzione segreta e demolendo il suo studio. Ai Weiwei non ha mai smesso di lottare. Senza chiedere scusa.
Elena sognava di fare l’attrice. Fugge da un Brasile opprimente e avaro di futuro. Elena è scomparsa. Sua sorella Petra quando è successo aveva solo sette anni, 13 meno di lei. Oggi, giovane filmmaker, ne segue le tracce in una New York che percorre in instancabile soggettiva, inframmezzando questa sua ricerca del presente, il dolente confronto con la madre, riferimenti mitologici, spezzoni di home movies carichi di misteriose suggestioni. Una struggente riflessione sulla vita e la morte, sull’amore e l’abbandono, e sulla memoria.

The truth about a dissident from the digital age told up close, about a man who against daunting forces ruptured the barrier between art and politics. The Chinese government has attempted to silence him with all possible ways: through physical violence, banning his blog, holding him in a secret detention center and destroying his studio. Ai Weiwei has never give up fighting against these oppressions. And he has never apologized himself.

Sulla difficile relazione tra un bimbo e sua madre, interdipendenza, emozioni estreme che questa relazione comportano. Odio misto ad amore e ribellione contro la duplicazione di stereotipi e comportamenti dei genitori, sono soltanto alcune delle associazione che quest’opera richiama. Adattamenti “classici” di madre e figlio – qui rappresentati nelle sembianze di un gatto selvatico – si riferisce all’iconografia religiosa. Per ferirsi a vicenda (dolorosi graffi e lamenti opposti all’oppressione) rappresenta la difficoltà di amare (conscia o no) che la maggior parte di noi hanno nei confronti delle proprie madri.
Storia apocalittica di un navigatore, un bianco batman, in cui il significato di strada è sia primitivo che simbolico. L’immensità del panorama naturale di Crimea (a altri luoghi dell’Ucraina) fa da sfondo per la storia onirica di un navigatore che si trova solo in uno spazio vuoto di una stazione nucleare abbandonata (l’unica al mondo in cui è possibile entrare illegalmente pagando una piccola tariffa), un aeroporto militare segreto o un enorme telescopio per seguire le navicelle. E’ come se un lungo videoclip fosse basato su paesaggi di bellezze naturali e fotografati da Maria Apoleika.

The immensity of a natural landscapes of Crimea (and other places of Ukraine) serves as a background for the dreamlike story of a navigator who finds himself alone in an empty space of an abandoned nuclear power station (the only one in the world that one can enter illegally for a small fee), a secret military airport or a huge radio telescope to follow spaceships. Il lavoro è stato creato a New York. Gli oggetti all’interno della lavatrice/asciugatrice – una camicia bianca e una tovaglia rossa – sono soggetti alla rotazione della macchina. La principale idea del film è come una forza esterna subordinata e piena determina il comportamento di diversi oggetti e persone mentre agiscono. Si potrebbe anche dire utilizzando un semplice linguaggio, che raffigura la complessità e l’intricata situazione politica nel nostro paese. Il titolo del lavoro, “Polacco e pulitore”, deriva da una pubblicità di aziende polacche pubblicata sulla stampa newyorkese.
A metà degli anni 90, per promuovere, presentare, documentare e tecnologicamente supportare la video arte, Igor Krenz fonda un’organizzazione non convenzionale chiamata. ‘ZF KINO FILM GROUP’ E’ anche un co fondatore dei gruppi “Photo Service” e “Azorro”. I suoi lavori sono stati presentati nel centro di arte contemporanea e nella “raster Gallery”di Braslavia, gb Angency, Parigi e al Tate Modern a Londra. Ha realizzato oltre 90 film. Vive e lavora a Braslavia.

The title of the work, Polish and Cleaners, derives from the ads Polish companies publish in the New York press.
In mid 90s, in order to promote, present, document and technologically support video art, Igor Krenz established an unofficial organization called “zf Kino Film Group”. He is also a co-founder od “ Photo Service” and “Azorro” groups. His works have been presented in the centre for Contemporary Art and Raster Gallery in Warsaw, GB Agencym Paris and Tate Modern, London. He has made over 90 films. He lives and works in Warsaw.

Conforto è un’installazione cinematografica che esplora il processo mentale e l’attività fisica del vedere. Ad intervalli regolari un apparecchio artigianale crea un film come un intervento spaziale. Attraverso una specifica illuminazione il movimento interno del film che si vede, si mostra una coreografia turbolenta di colori iridescenti e movimenti fluidi. Come la gravità lentamente contiene la membrana l’osservatore può essere affascinato dal fenomeno, fino a che il fragile film inevitabilmente si brucia.

Un viaggio attraverso un paesaggio distopico, giocare con la creazione, distruzione e rinascita. “Foglio di carta” è stato realizzato con una scultura di carta tagliata a triangolo, diverse sculture con menu a comparsa e 40 kg di terra. L’unica luce proviene da due videoproiettori che reagiscono alla traccia “Amon TObin” in tempo reale grazie al software programmato in vvvv. Le immagini, in parte mappate sulle sculture, e in parte non, vengono generate e sono basate su algoritmi, alcun film girati in Italia e in Croazia e, ovviamente, con audio.
Una storia che scorre”, paesaggio urbano animato in cui gli animali dell’europa occidentale vivono in una eco casa sociale..Quando la crescente onda scorre e inonda completamente le loro case, non sembrano sorpresi o spaventati: loro semplicemente seguono il fluire dell’inondazione. E’ una storia che si ripete all’infinito.
Il punto di partenza della più recente composizione “United” è la vista da una finestra di Narita areoporto a Tokyo il 9 Novembre 2011, tra le 15:31 e le 15:40. Al fine di migliorare la percezione differenziata delle complessità delle situazioni quotidiane, il compositore traspone l’immagine in una composizione elettrica, in un canale multiplo. A questa fine, il compositore utente registra un singolo musicista dal gagaku ensemble “Reigakusha” particolarmente preparato per United.
A journey through a dystopic landscape, playing with creation, destruction and rebirth. Piece of paper was realized with a setup of triangle – cut paper sculptures, various pop – up sculptures and 490kg of soil. The only light comes from two video projectors reacting to Amon Tobin’s track “Piece of paper” in real-time through a software programmed in vvvv. The visuals – partly mapped to the sculptures, partly non – mapped are generative and based on algorithms, some nature footage shot in Italy and Croatia and, of course, the audio.
An animated city scape in which western – European animals inhabit an eco- social housing estate. When the rising tide is flowing in and floods their homes completely, they do not act surprised or scared: they just go eith the flow, for it is an endlessly repeated story.

The point of departure of the composition “United” is the view out of a window at Narita airport in Tokyo on November 9, 2011 between 3.31 p.m. and 3.40 p.m. In order to enhance the differentiated perception of the complexity of everyday situations, the composer transposes the visual in a multichannel, electronic composition. The composer uses recordings of single musicians from the gagaku ensemble “Reigakusha”, especially prepared for “United”.

UNA DOMENICA NOTTE Director: Giuseppe Marco Albano 90:00 | IT La storia è quella di Antonio Colucci (Antonio Andrisani), 46 anni. Un uomo che avrebbe voluto essere un grande regista di film horror e che all’età di 26 anni sembrava promettere bene. Dopo il fiasco del primo lungometraggio si sposa e ha un figlio. Il divorzio, la quotidianità e la mancanza di intraprendenza lo bloccano nella sua cittadina di provincia dove il miraggio del cinema lentamente svanisce. Giunto ad una età plausibilmente “di mezzo”, decide, come spesso accade, di fare un resoconto della propria vita. Il suo sogno di diventare regista di film di “genere”, nonostante il panorama e il mercato italiano del settore sia trasfigurato, non si è mai sopito del tutto, anzi, ha sempre covato dentro di lui. Decide così, di trovare i fondi per girare una sceneggiatura a budget molto basso, approfittando di una storia incentrata su un solo personaggio e location unica. Scoprirà in questa ricerca che l’orrore che lo circonda è molto più impressionante del film del terrore che vuole girare... The story is about Antonio Colucci (Antonio Andrisa) , he is 46 years old. A man who wanted to be a great director of horror films, a promising at the age of 26. After the failure of his first feature film he gets married and has a son. Eventual divorce, daily life and lack of initiative, get him stuck in his little village where the illusion of cinema slowly disappears.After reaching a plausible mature middle age, he decides, as is often the case, to make an account of his own life. Though the Italian film industry is plummeting, his dream of becoming a film director of “genre” never vanishes entirely, indeed, it has always brooded within him. Then, he decides to look for some funds to shoot a low budget film, taking advantage of a story focused on just one character in a singular location. He finds out, during this search, that the terror surrounding him is even more striking that the one of the horror film he wants to shoot.. 31

IL VANGELO SECONDO MATERA Dopo Parigi, Pisticci e il Lucania Film Festival hanno l’onore di presentare la testimonianza più importante del cinema italiano (e internazionale) in Basilicata. Il Vangelo Secondo Matera è una mostra fotografica composta da fotografie inedite che Domenico Notarangelo ha scattato durante la lavorazione del film Il Vangelo Secondo Matteo, di Pier Paolo Pasolini nel 1964, girato proprio nei Sassi di Matera, da qui il titolo della mostra. Foto che si consideravano perdute fino allo scorso anno e che oggi, ritrovate, restaurate e stampate, restituiscono un’immagine completamente inedita del grande artista italiano al lavoro sui Sassi di Matera. Si ringrazia Associazione Culturale Pasolini Matera The Gospel according to Matera After Paris, Pisticci and the Lucania Film Festival have the honour of presenting one the most important documentation about Italian and international Cinema in Basilicata. “The Gospel according to Matera” is a photographic exhibition of unpublished pictures that Domenico Notarangelo shot during the making of the movie “The gospel according to Matteo” by Pier Paolo Pasolini in 1964, realized in the Sassi of Matera, hence the title of the exhibition. Pictures that had been considered lost until last year and today, found, restored and printed give us back a completely new images of the great Italian artist working on his movie in the Sassi of Matera. RICCARDO SCAMARCIO Nato a Trani nel 1979, alla fine degli anni ‘90 si è trasferito a Roma per seguire i corsi di recitazione della Scuola Nazionale di Cinema. Nella sua biografia si legge “L’ultima forza centripeta del cinema italiano e la rappresentazione più vera di un Duemila che si sta dimostrando molto prolifico. Cuore e corpo di tanti personaggi “perfetti” che a loro volta sono cuore e corpo delle pellicole in cui nascono, vivono e soffrono; mascolino, ma poco incline alla rettitudine, questo è Riccardo Scamarcio.” L’attore è impegnato su più fronti e sono in uscita quattro pellicole che lo vedono protagonista, tre delle quali sono produzioni internazionali. Gibraltar “, un thriller da 20 milioni di euro, sarà un ambiguo narcotrafficante, un marito tradito in “ Una piccola impresa meridionale “, opera seconda di Rocco Papaleo, un conte seduttore in “ Effie “ e barista folle in “ The third person “ di Paul Haggis. Agli impegni da interprete, Scamarcio unisce quello da produttore, per la docufiction “ L’uomo doppio “ di Cosimo Terlizzi, presentato al Festival di Torino e per il debutto alla regia di Valeria Golino , “ Miele “, con Jasmine Trinca e Carlo Cecchi , in cui si tocca il tema dell’eutanasia. Il Lucania Film Festival incrocia la sempre più matura carriera di uno dei più richiesti attori italiani per rubarne anche un po’ di bellezza! Born in Trani in 1979 at the end of 90’ he moved to Rome to attend acting course to the National School of Cinema. We can read in his biography “The last centripetal force of Italian cinema and the truer representation of a millennium which is proving very prolific.Heart and body of many “perfect” characters that are heart and body of the movie in which they were born, they live and suffer; masculine but little disposed to righteousness, this is Scamarcio”. The actor is engaged on different cinematographic projects and are four films are coming out as the main character, three of which are international productions. “Golden Boy” with Sharon Stone, “Gibraltar”, a thriller by 20 million Euros, where he is an ambiguous drug dealer, a cheated husband in “Una piccola impresa meridionale” (A Southern small business), second film as director of Rocco Papaleo, an attractive count on “Effie” and a crazy barman on “The third person” by Paul Haggis. Besides his role as actor he combines the role of producer for the docufiction “L’uomo doppio” by Cosimo Terlizzi, presented at the Torino Film Festival and for the directorial debut of Valeria Golino, “Miele”, starring with Jasmine Trinca and Carlo Cecchi, about the topic of euthanasia. Carlo Infante Carlo Infante è docente freelance di Performing Media, opinionista e presidente-managing director di Urban Experience. Ha diretto, negli anni Ottanta, festival come “Scenari dell’Immateriale”, condotto (anche come autore) trasmissioni radiofoniche su Radio1 e Radio3, televisive come Mediamente.scuola su RAI3 e Salva con Nome su RAInews24 (nel 2009). Ha ideato (in occasione delle Olimpiadi Torino 2006) format web, come il geoblog (che permetteva di scrivere storie nelle geografie, ben prima di GoogleMaps), che esplicitano la tensione creativa di una Social Innovation agita nel territorio (come è accaduto con i Performing Media Lab in Salento, per La Notte della Taranta, e inPiemonte all’interno di un Bene Confiscato alle Mafie). E’ autore, tra l’altro, di “Educare on line” (1997, Netbook), “Imparare giocando” (Bollati Boringhieri, 2000), “Edutainment” (Coop Italia, 2003), “Performing Media”, “La nuova spettacolarità della comunicazione interattiva e mobile” (Novecentolibri, 2004), “Performing Media 1.1 Politica e poetica delle reti” (Memori, 2006) e di molti altri saggi e articoli per più testate (tra cui, attualmente, NOVA-Sole24ore, Tiscali e L’Unità per cui ha progettato l’inserto mensile UniTag). E’ tra i promotori degli Stati Generali dell’Innovazione. Carlo Infante is a freelance teacher of Performing Media, columnist , president and executive director of Urban Experience. In the 80’ he managed several festivals, such as “Scenari dell’immateriale”, he hosted (as author too) Radio broadcast on Radio1 and Radio3, and Tv program sach as “Mediamente Scuola” on RAI3 and “Salva con Nome”on RaiNews24 (2009). On the occasion of Torino Olympic Games, he created a web format, such as geoblog (which was used to write stories on geography, long time before Google Maps), which explains the creative tension of a Social Innovation realized in the territory (as it happened with Performing Media Lab in Salento, on the accasion of “La Notte della Taranta”, and in Piemonte concerning a good confiscated to the Mafia). Further, he is the author of “Educating on line” (1997, Netbook), “Learning is fun” (Bollati Boringhieri, 2000), “Edutainment” (Coop Italia, 2003), “Performing Media”, “The new spectacular interactive communication and mobile” (Novecentolibri, 2004), “Performing Media 1.1 Politic and poetic of networks” (Memori, 2006) and many other essays and articles for several magazines (including, currently, NOVA-Sole24ore , Tiscali and Unità for which he designed the monthly insert Unitag). Franco Arminio Arminio è nato e vive a Bisaccia, centro dell’Irpinia orientale in provincia di Avellino. Collabora con diverse testate locali e nazionali come “Il Manifesto”, “Il Mattino” di Napoli, “Ottopagine”, “Corriere del Mezzogiorno”, ed è animatore del blog “Comunità Provvisoria” che si occupa di paesi e paesaggi. Fa parte degli autori scelti da Gianni Celati per l’antologia “Narratori delle riserve”, dove sono raccolti 5 brevi racconti (da Miniature). Tra le sue pubblicazioni si annovera anche “Diario civile”, una raccolta di articoli edita da Sellino Editore. Nel 2009, con “Vento forte tra Lacedonia e Candela. Esercizi di paesologia” ha vinto il premio Napoli. Roberto Saviano ha definito Franco Arminio «uno dei poeti più importanti di questo paese, il migliore che abbia mai raccontato il terremoto e ciò che ha generato», citando un suo passo: «Venticinque anni dopo il terremoto dei morti sarà rimasto poco. Dei vivi ancora meno». L’11 ottobre 2011 è uscito “ Terracarne” edito da Mondadori. Nel 2012 è uscita per Transeuropa una raccolta di poesie paesologiche intitolata “Stato in luogo”. E’ del 2013 l’ultima sua fatica letteraria “Geografia commossa dell’Italia interna”. Arminio was born and lives in Bisaccia, town situated in the eastern Irpinia, province of Avellino. He collaborates with different local and national newspaper, such as “Il Manifesto”, “il Mattino” of Naples, “Ottopagine”, “Corriere del Mezzogiorno”, and he is blogger founder of “Comunità provvisoria” about towns and landscapes. He is part of authors selected by Gianni Celati for the anthology “Storyteller of reserves”, that includes 5 short tales (taken from Miniature). Among his publications it needs to be mentioned “Civil Diary”, a collection of articles published by Sellino Editore. In 2009 he has been awarded with “Naples prize” with the book “Vento forte tra Lacedonia e Candela. Esercizi di paesologia”. Roverto Saviano has called Frano Arminio “one of the most important poet of this country, the best one in telling us the tragedy of the earthquake and what generated”, quoting one passage: “25 years after the earthquake of deads will be little left. About alive people even less”. Nel luglio 2011, con “Cartoline dai morti” ha vinto il Premio Stephen Dedalus per la sezione “Altre scritture”. In July 2011, with” Cartoline dai morti” he won the Stephen Dedalus Prize for the section of “Altre scritture”. On 11th October of 2011 was released “Terracarne” published by Mondadori. In 2012 was released by Transeuropa a collection of poems about “paesologia” titled “Stato in Luogo”. In 2013 his last literary work “Geografia commossa dell’Italia interna”.

P-stories è un progetto d’innovazione sociale che intende costruire processi partecipativi con la comunità di appartenenza per raccogliere e georeferenziare memorie, emozioni e visioni condivise nella geografia territoriale e per renderle fruibili in un’antologia di racconti digitali. P-stories vuole riscrivere dal basso e in modo collettivo il libro di storie su Pisticci e sul suo territorio, stimolando la cittadinanza attiva e proponendo un nuovo modo di fare turismo culturale, più sostenibile e più smart. L’inizio delle attività è previsto nell’autunno 2013. Il progetto è stato approvato nell’ambito dei Progetti innovativi di Visioni Urbane”.
King Naat Veliov & The Original Kocani Orkestar (Macedonia) / Amazing fanfare that was able to translate into a “fireworks show of sounds” traditional melodies from Balcans. Spettacolare fanfara che ha saputo tradurre in uno spettacolo pirotecnico le melodie tradizionali dei Balcani. Il sound è quello tipico, portato al successo da Goran Bregovic, con un pizzico d’istrionismo in piu’ e contaminazioni varie. E’ la versione originale della “Kocani Orkestar”, che ha nel trombettista Naat Veliov un vero grande leader. In Italia vanta collaborazioni prestigiose con Vinicio Capossela e Paolo Rossi.
P-stories is a social innovation project aimed to building a participatory process with its own community, in order to collect and to geo-reference memories, emotions and shared visions in the territorial geography and to make them accessible in an anthology of short digital stories. P- stories wants to re- write from the bottom in an collective mood the book of stories about Pisticci and its own territory, encouraging active citizenship and proposing a new form of cultural tourism, smarter and more sustainable. The start of activities is expected in the autumn 2013. The project was approved as part of “Innovative projects” of “Visioni Urbane”
The music is typical, brought to success by Goran Bregovic, with a histrionic hint and different contaminations. It is the original version of “Kocani Orkestar”, which has the trumpeter Naat Veliov a truly great leader. In Italy boasts prestigious collaborations with Vinicio Capossela and Paolo Rossi.

11x11th L’edizione 2013 dell’evento espositivo 11x11th mette in mostra quest’anno 13 artisti per un totale di 24 opere. Importante in questa edizione la collaborazione con il “Premio Baraonda” organizzato dall’Associazione “Arteria” di San Pietroburgo con tre vincitrici russe chiamate ad esporre ad 11x11th. Le opere scelte sembrano essere tutte legate tra loro da un particolare elemento, attraverso diversi motivi differenti linguaggi e tecniche, gli autori selezionati affrontano un tema preciso quello della memoria. Storie personali, eventi immaginari e reportage mettono in luce accadimenti del passato, del presente e del futuro. The 2013edition of 11x11th event exhibition shows this year 13 artists for a number of 24 artworks presented. In the current edition, remarkable is the collaboration with “Baraonda Prize” organized by “Arteria Association of S. Petersburg with three Russian winners that will exhibit their works at 11x11th. The selected works seem to be all tied by a particular element, through different themes, different languages and technique, the selected authors deal with the specific topic of the memory. Personal stories, fiction events and reportage bring highlight past, present, future circumstances.

Claudio Cravero vive e lavora a Torino. Per molti anni si dedica alla realizzazione di progetti incentrati sul tema della memoria, raccogliendo e catalogando tracce lasciate dal passaggio dell’uomo contemporaneo in habitat diversi (Fantasmi). Col tempo, lo sguardo si sposta da una dimensione esteriore a una più intimista volta a coniugare la frammentarietà della condizione postmoderna con la fissità dello scatto fotografico.
Raffaele Luongo Da anni in giro per la sua amata Basilicata, è da sempre alla ricerca di quel particolare “scatto” che la possa risollevare, fiducioso di riuscirvi. Tale fiducia è stata già in parte ripagata grazie alla realizzazione di “131”, progetto volto a rappresentare tutti i comuni della Basilicata in chiave poco ortodossa o canonica.
Roberto Morreale si racconta attraverso il suo motto: “La vita di ognuno è fatta di tanti attimi, la mia è fatta di attimi per la maggior parte vissuti nel ghiaccio, sia nella forma metaforica che nella reale”; così la freddezza di questo elemento si materializza in quelle opere che tanto hanno a che fare con il ghiaccio.
Claudio Cravero lives and works in Turin. For a long time he is been devoting himself to projects focused on the theme of remembrance, collecting and cataloging traces left by the passage of the contemporary man in different habit (Ghosts). Over time, the gaze is moving from an external dimension to an intimate one, aimed to combine the fragmentary of post modern condition with the fixity of the shutter click.
Raffaele Luongo for years around his beloved Basilicata, is always looking for that particular “click” that can raise, confident of success. That confidence was already partly repaid thanks to realization of “131” project designed to represent all municipalities of Basilicata in unorthodox or rectory key.

Roberto Morreale is told through its motto: “everyone’s life is made up of many moments, mine is made of moments mostly lived in the ice, both in metaphorical form that in the actual”; the coldness of this element materializes in those works that have a lot to do with ice.

Dario Quatrini vive e lavora a Torino nel settore della grafica. Le opere in esposizione fanno parte del progetto “Dispacci da astronauti perduti” dove l’artista immagina ipotetici segnali inviati da alcuni astronauti dispersi nello spazio. Ritagli e strani oggetti riecheggiano la memoria di questi dispersi lontani ormai anni luce dalla terra.
Eugenia Sarkisian, giovane artista del 1986 ha studiato pittura e disegno presso l’Università di San Pietroburgo. Le sue opere riecheggiano principesse, castelli, dame e paesaggi naturali meticolosamente decorati in fumosi effetti di luce. A tratti gotica e fantastica è la sua produzione.
Franco Meloni nasce a Cagliari. Artista singolare è stato riconosciuto da diverse riviste internazionali di settore. Le sue opere sono incentrate sull’imperfezione, l’irregolarità e il conflitto: “Ogni forma di espressione è di per sé originariamente imperfetta. Al contrario, la società, esalta la perfezione, che causa superficialità, insoddisfazione e la ricerca ossessiva di ciò che non si può raggiungere”.
Dario Quatrini lives and works in Turin in the field of graphic design. The works exhibited are part of the project “Dispatches from astronaut lost” where the artist imagines hypothetical signs sent from some cosmonaut missing in the space. Cuttings and strange objects echoing the memory of lost people light years far from Earth.
Eugenia Sarkisian studied paintings and drawings at S. Petersburg’s University. Young artist, norni in 1986, he studied the piano at Volgograd where he exhibited two personnel in 2008 and in 2010. His works refers to princess, castles, natural landscapes and meticulously decorated in smoky lighting effects. A Gothic and with fantastic traits is his production. 43
Franco Meloni was born in Cagliare, Singular artis he has beeb recognized by several International magazine. His works are focused on imperfection, irregularity and conflict: “Every form of expression is itself imperfect originally. On the contrary, society exalts the perfection, causing dissatisfaction and superficiality, the obsessive search of what you can’t reach “.

Tiziano Cappelletti porta a ripensare radicalmente l’identità dell’artista-creatore. Attraverso il recupero di macerie del presente quali oggetti ritrovati che ci parlano della loro storia e uno sguardo alla nostra storia, l’autore rielabora e sviluppa una sottile trama che ci parla di morte e rinascita. Uno sguardo alla memoria e uno sguardo al futuro.
Olga Kataeva nasce a Leningrado nel 1986. Dopo aver frequentato l’Accademia di Belle Arti continua a coltivare costantemente la sua passione per l’arte. Vincitrice di numerosi premi, le sue opere fanno parte di molte collezioni pubbliche e private in Russia, Francia e Cina.
Daniil Gagarin nasce a Leningrado nel 1982. Ha studiato grafica presso l’Università di San Pietroburgo dove vive e lavora. L’artista si alimenta e indaga nella realtà per restituirci una visione assurda e grottesca della vita. Il suo realismo richiama lo spettatore a riflettere e catapultarsi nel suo mondo paradossale e reale allo stesso tempo. Opere ricche di segni vorticosi, decorazioni e gocce di colore.
John Cappelletti led to radically rethink the identity of the artist-creator. Through the rubble of this recovery which objects found that speak us of their history and a look at our history, the author reworks and develops a thin plot that speaks of death and rebirth. A look at memory and a look to the future.
Olga Kataeva was born in Leningrad in 1986. After having attended the Accademy if fine arts she keeps to be interested in her great passion for art. Winner of several awards in 2009, she was invitated as Drawing and Painting teacher at tha School of Art in Lanchezhou, China. Her works are part of several public and privates collection in Russia, France and Chine.

Daniil Gagarin was born in Leningrad in 1982. He studied graphic at S. Petersburg’s University where he lives and works. Always drawing enthusiast, the artist feeds and investigates the reality in order to give us back an absurd and grottesque vision of the life. His realism makes the observer to thing and to merge in his paradoxes and, at the same time, real world.

Vincenzo Baldini offers us through his pictures frames and pieces of reality, reworkings of color, paste and mixture that predict an inner movement whispered softly from his subjects: shrubs, sand castles and faces whisper emotions that are revealed sometimes tragically.

Serena Laborante artista genovese, traspone nelle sue opere la grande carica espressiva del corpo. Autrice viscerale pone al centro dei suoi lavori la forza della fisicità. Nelle opere presentate il corpo si struttura in seguito agli effetti delle esperienze, delle scelte, degli incontri: la colonna vertebrale cresce dinamicamente e alcuni segni si sedimentano tra una vertebra e l’altra”.
Cesare Cassone vive a Bari dove sperimenta nuovi temi applicati al linguaggio pittorico, sua grande passione. Artista autodidatta le sue opere sono il risultato di un’interpretazione ingenua e immediata del quotidiano. Sia figurativi che astratti i suoi lavori sono esplosioni di forme e colori.

Cesare Cassone lives in Bari where he experiments new themes applied to the pictorial language, his great passion. A self- taught artist, his work are the result of a naïve interpretation and immediate on the daily life. Both figurative and abstract, his works are the explosion of shapes and colours.

Ha iniziato da bambino a realizzare opere luminose utilizzando materiali vari dal plexiglass al legno, dalla stoffa alla pittura. Designer d’interni il suo motto è: “La luce che proiettano le mie creazioni non deve solo illuminare la stanza ma anche saper accendere un’emozione, dal momento che l’illuminazione è arte”. Nicola Vignola was born in Turin, where he graduated in architecture. He started as a child to bright works using various materials from plexiglass to wood, from cloth to the painting. Interior Designer his motto is: “the light my creations projects should not only illuminate the room bur also has to be able to turn on an emotion, since the fact lightning is art”. 46
