FAQ FAQ about Wichita Real Producers
Ever since we launched Real Producers September 2019, I’ve heard some repeating questions from many of you. Hopefully, this brings some clarity to what we do, how we do it and why we do it. Remember, my door is ALWAYS open to discuss anything regarding our real estate community — this publication is 100% designed to be YOUR voice!
Q: Who receives this magazine?
A: The top 300 REALTORS® in Wichita and surrounding areas based on sales volume from the previous year, Jan. 1, 2022-December 31. We cut off the list at #300. As you might imagine, this list changes each year, with a rate of 20-30% new agents. However, every single REALTOR® member and a large majority of the commercial agents receive the digital

A: Anyone listed as a “Preferred Partner” in the index at the front of the magazine is an integral part of this community. They will have an ad in every issue of the magazine, attend our events, and be part of our private Facebook group. We don’t just find these businesses off the street, nor do we work with all businesses that approach us. One, or several, agents have personally referred every single Preferred Partner you see. We won’t even take a meeting with a business that has not been vetted by one of you and has your “stamp of approval,” in a sense. Our goal is to create a powerhouse network not only of the best agents in the area but the best businesses as well so we

STARTING. PAUSING. THRIVING. Amanda expressed her interest in getting into the business. She ended up earning her license and hanging it
“At the time, real estate didn’t seem like a good fit. so I didn’t pursue it. I held on to my license for a couple years,” she remembers.
“I was at Longhorn serving one day when a very kind family came in, sat in my section and said, ‘You would make a great real estate agent.” I
Since then, the team has been Top Producers every month.
“I love having a team to bounce ideas off and collaborate with,” she says with a smile.
“We provide each other with accountability, encouragement, and a wealth of knowledge bringing over 15 years of experience collectively. We have trainings each month, travel together and even spend holidays together. We have a great family vibe when we collaborate, and each individual team member plays a huge role in our success. They push me to be better daily and challenge me.”
with her family, including her husband, Kevin and two amazing girls.
“Kevin is a basketball coach and a teacher at an alternative school here in Wichita. He makes a huge difference in a lot of kids’ lives and is such an amazing dad and husband,” she says.
Amanda and Kevin enjoy moments together with their two daughters — 8-year-old, Vaele; and 6-year-old, Mya. They love their family, basketball, their doggie and basketball.
WE HAVE A GREAT FAMILY VIBE WHEN WE COLLABORATE, AND EACH INDIVIDUAL TEAM MEMBER PLAYS A HUGE ROLE IN OUR SUCCESS. THEY PUSH ME TO BE BETTER DAILY AND CHALLENGE ME.
In her free time, Amanda loves trav eling with her family and creating memories with them, going to church, working out at the gym and volun teering in the community.
In addition, Amanda also owns her own photo booth business that she’s operated over the past six years, with locations in Kansas, Florida and Missouri. Plus, she also has a business called Cards on Yards that was started
during the pandemic to bring huge smiles with a creative new way to celebrate a loved one on a special occasion by placing messages in their lawns.
When it comes to giving back, Amanda has a big place in her heart for the Alzheimer’s Association … having been involved in a variety of events and fundraisers.
“That’s one of my favorite parts of what I do. I never have the same day twice. I’m a huge fan of looking at things in a different way,” Amy emphasizes.
“I like to find better ways of doing things. I’m always asking myself, ‘How can we do it better? How do we make the buying and selling process easier for clients? How do we give them the best possible experience?’”
Finding Success on Another Path
Before beginning her path in real estate, Amy enjoyed success in the corporate world.
“The tradeoff to all of that is that I traveled a lot and worked a whole lot of hours. We were getting ready to have our first child and realized that wasn’t the kind of life I wanted to have,” she remembers.
“We decided to make a move at that point and I knew that I would need to do something different.”
Change of Direction
“I knew that I wanted to do something with unlimited income potential. I wanted to get paid for the amount of effort I put in. I wanted my fate to be in my own hands.”
So in 2006, she earned her real estate license and moved forward.
Team Spirit
In time, after diligently building her real estate business, Amy took the next step forward and created Preister and Partners.
“Today there are 15 of us,” she smiles. “We have the most wonderful team together.”
One of those who plays an integral role is Larissa Elliott.

family. She looks forward to time with her husband of 20 years, Steve, and their children — son, Ben; and 16-yearold, Eva; and 10-year-old, Brenna.
In her free time, Amy says she spends much of her time on a volleyball court or a soccer field cheering on her kids’ love of sports.
finding a way forward is also matched by her desire to make it as fun as possible for all involved.
Sometimes the best solutions are ones that have never been thought of or tried before. That’s the spirit that drives Amy Preister and the goals she helps others around her attain … by breaking the code.

Helping Others Find Home
We all have a definition in our minds of what it means to have a house. But what makes that property truly pow erful in the lives of people is when those walls become a true home.
That’s the spirit of contribution and effort that drives Producing Branch Manager Aaron Clark and Motto Mortgage Charged each day.
“I have a big love for being able to help people navigate the home-buying process. I didn’t come from a fam ily where I had that experience. We rented and I moved almost every year as a child,” Aaron emphasizes.
Mortgage Charged is the fact that I am a Broker,” he says.
“As a result, I’m able to find more solutions and not turn people away. Coming here and partnering with Motto

to be available in this industry all hours of the day, including nights and weekends. I personally am because I used to be a REALTOR®,” he says.
“I know that side of the business and not being able to get in touch with the lender makes it appear that an Agent may not have the right set of contacts in place to best serve their clients. We never want to put them in that posi tion. We take that further and make ourselves available as a team. So if one of us can’t reach out to a client, someone on the team will.”
Wonderful Life
Family time is at the heart of Aaron’s world. He treasures time with Kristi, his wife, and their children — Bailey, Mason and Everest.
In their free time, Aaron and his fam ily love spending as much time as pos sible with each other at the lake and traveling as often as they can. He also enjoys supporting the growing craft breweries in Wichita and sampling some of the area’s new creations.
Aaron is also someone who loves having fun. One way that he and his teammates do that is by having fun at the office. In fact, they have Crazy Socks Thursdays and grade each other on the best — or craziest — look.

“So many people we knew looked to us with sadness and didn’t always seem to know what to say. Meeting new clients during this time was sort of an escape for me; I could choose to or not to share our story with new clients and that was helpful in bringing some normalcy back to my world.”
Heather and her family have created a 501C3 memorial fund in Blakely’s memory. Through that, people can donate at any time through Legacy Bank, with funds used to assist other parents or guardians who have lost children and may be low on resources to cover the cost of their child’s head stone markers.
“Since losing her I’ve tried to focus on my family and time spent with those I love a lot more; I’ve learned you can have a successful career and also make time to spend with those most precious to you and that’s extremely import ant,” Heather says.

Heather cherishes time with her family, including her husband of 11 years, Blake, and their other children — 14-year-old, Emery; and 10-year-old, Lily.

“It’s important to be up front with people I work with. I try to point out things to a property that I think could be an issue or worrisome to someone,” she says. “I go to all of the home inspections and I’ve been able to learn a lot through the years and help guide my clients on what to expect and what to budget for.”
As she looks to the future, Heather begins with her love of people.
“It’s rewarding being able to build connections with them long-term. Through the process of working with them, I enjoy staying in touch through time and seeing the pictures that they send to me. It’s always great to hear back from people and to see what they’ve done with their houses.”
With genuine care and dedicated effort, Heather puts her experience and expertise to work for others … in the process, always leading with her heart.
