Savina The Real Estate Matriarch Of Our Family
I’d like to wish everyone a very special Happy Mother’s Day!
In this month’s issue of Wichita Real Producers, we pay tribute to the life and legacy of the recently deceased, Wiladean Savina. We celebrated her 94th birthday on April 10th, 2023 and she passed away on April 15th, 2023.

In addition to the enjoyment they have for working with each other, both Sandra and Madison have a passion for the work and industry itself.
“For me, it’s about the relationships I’ve built and the fact that a lot of my business comes from referrals … helping people who I’ve known through the years and then also getting a new referral from someone I’ve never met,” Sandra says with a smile.

HALLIE ARMSTRONG & KATE CASELTON
Photos By Jennifer Ruggles Written By Dave DanielsonLIFE-CHANGING PURSUITS
As Kate says, one of the most rewarding parts for her is seeing the way their relationship together has evolved from parent/child to friendship in a business setting. Hallie served as a mentor and compass to Kate; pointing her in the direction to explore as she grew into the businesswoman she is today.
Hallie smiles. “It’s really smooth working together.”
“For us it feels so natural to be doing this together,” Kate adds. “There’s good energy and flow between us.”
UNIQUE GIFTS
Each of them has a unique reason and set of needs that real estate fulfills for them.
“It’s neat to cheer each other on and see what we’re made of. I had a unique upbringing. She asked if I would help and I was willing. I was eager to be a sponge about all things business,” Kate says. “I was always around dirt work and real estate since both of my parents owned and operated their own companies within the two industries. In fact, I drove a dump truck before I drove a car and my Miss Kansas platform was catered to promoting entrepreneurism in young people.”
MOVING MOMENTS
One of the most moving moments for Kate came when she saw her mother come through for a family who needed her guidance urgently.
“We were sitting at a table with a family of nine who was facing fore closure,” Kate says. “Hallie brought creative solutions that surprised us all. Additionally, she helped them to earn an unexpected profit on the sale of their listing and get into another home that was more functional and affordable for their family.”
FINDING THEIR PATHS
Hallie began her real estate career in 2010, with Kate following in 2013.
Prior to getting into the business, Hallie specialized in marketing and advertisement. “I wanted to be acces sible and be closer to home for my kids since I traveled a lot and worked long hours. Ultimately, the lack of time with my family brought me to real estate,” Hallie remembers. “As I started my business, I needed help and I asked Kate to be my Assistant. Luckily for us both, she ended up enjoying it.”
Kate had a medical path in mind for a time. At first, she had thought about becoming a plastic surgeon, yet business soon won out for her.
“I went to Quantum Leap and it changed my world. It wasn’t real

“It’s always important to us that people know we value our word. If we say we’re going to do it, we’re going to do it. We are always there to help,” Hallie says. “What you focus on expands. We treat people fairly and we’re driven to go above and beyond every day.”
Katherine & Jillian
AMBROSE
You have the potential to reach incredible heights with vision, dedication and follow-through. If you already partner with others, you know the power that teamwork brings to your efforts.
That’s the dynamic that is on proud display with mother-and-daughter duo, Katherine and Jillian Ambrose. They bring passion into everything they do, including the Ambrose family real estate practice.
Clearly, they love sharing their gifts with those around them.
“I love Jillian’s flair and how brave she is. It’s fantastic to see the dif ferent approach that she brings,” Katherine says.
“It’s not like she followed us into the business and we’re training her how to do it our way. She has her own creativity and approach … making us a much more multi-dimensional team.”
Enjoying Each Moment
As Jillian explains, the joy they feel in teaming up together comes in the moments they share each day.
“We recently presented a marketing proposal together. It was fun to see Mom shine. Growing up with your Mom, you think you know

Eventually, Jillian remembers, she was ready for a new challenge.
“I got hooked by HGTV and developed an eye for home design. I knew there was something more I could do with my constantly evolving creative side.
That is when I started talking with my brother, Brian, about doing a flip project and truly fell in love with real estate,” Jillian says. “If there is anything Dad would have said about me as a little girl, it’s that I wasn’t afraid of much and if you said I couldn’t do something… I’d smile at you while I did it anyway. So I packed my bags and moved back to Kansas, buying my first property at 22. I threw every penny I had into a severely distressed home, making a

Family Fulfillment
Away from work, Katherine and Jillian have a big place in their hearts for family.
Katherine and Randy have three children — Cory, Brian and Jillian. All three of them worked with the team in Wichita at one point or another. Brian is leading an Ambrose Team expansion in Florida,

Jillian smiles as she talks about her passion for helping clients invest in real estate. “A good portion of my clientele are finding the same path I chose all those years ago. I don’t just mean helping them flip or buy and hold property. Every house you live in is a potential investment and I love helping people make a home their own, while maximizing future value.” Jillian says. “Real estate is the epicenter of every dream and goal that I have. I want a life full of adventure and moments of pure joy while making an actual difference in this world. Making the right decisions in real estate can set you up to experience true freedom.”
Day by day, Katherine and Jillian share their passion for what they do with each other … and their immense gifts with the rest of us.
There is true strength that comes in the number of people who are aligned with the same goals and then come together to share ideas for growth with each other.

Val Regan
PEARE &
Rehabbing REALTORS®
You probably have an element of real estate that first called to you …. one that really ignited your passion for the business and one where you had some skill or natural inclination.
The same holds true for Val and Regan Peare who have a passion
Working with Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Penfed Realty, Val (Team Leader) and Regan (REALTOR®) make a formidable mother-and-daughter team who can turn blah into beautiful.
“We are perfect for seller’s that know
their home before listing but need some guidance,” Val says. “That’s where my background and expertise in flipping helps sellers get more bang for their buck in home improvements. As we say, every home deserves it’s chance to make a great first impression.”
SHARING MANY GIFTS
As Val explains, they split their time and efforts between design, staging and REALTOR® duties. Val earned her license in 2016, with Regan join ing her in the business in 2022.
They are also joined on their three-person team by REALTOR® Robin Davis.
“Regan and Robin work really well together. The last seven houses that we staged they did together. The beauty of what we do is we all get along very well and love our niche in real estate,” Val says. “The excitement for each other is great. We are truly a team and help each other when we can with showings, inspections, clos ings and more.”
THE START OF SOMETHING SPECIAL Val got her start as an investor in 2014. At first her focus was on investing, as well as consulting on finishes and helping others with their flips. She also has been a General Contractor since 2014.
“At that time, being a REALTOR® wasn’t my focus. Then, one of my REALTOR/investor buddies, Steven Myers, told me I was missing the boat, and he encouraged me to focus more on being a REALTOR®,” she says. “From there, I went and did new construction and then came over to Berkshire Hathaway. 2019 was my first full year dedicating myself to being a REALTOR® and not flipping and buying rentals. I’m not sure I
would have made the transition to being a full time realtor without his encouragement.”
Regan remembers the positive influence of her mom … growing up around the business.
“Early on when my mom was buying real estate as flips and investments,
several times to her,” she smiles. “I will never forget the day she said I’m going to get my real estate license. I was shocked to some extent. Shortly after getting licensed, she jumped in and bought her first investment property. It felt good that she saw my success and knew that she could do it, too.”
We are more than just a sign in the yard. I feel like we go the extra mile for them.
Together, Val and Regan have a real appreciation for having the chance to work together.
As the Team Leader, Val also leads by example. She has earned a full range of honors and accolades, including Master’s Circle in the South Central Kansas MLS. She has also qualified for Berkshire Hathaway’s Chairman’s Circle Gold level. Together, the team ranks among the top 2 percent of all small teams in the Berkshire Hathaway Global Network.
When it comes to giving back, Val and Regan are proud to support several local charities, including The Junior League of Wichita.
As they look to the future, Val and Regan continue to build together to create rewarding results for their clients.
“I’m really excited about helping some new builders cut their teeth on some spec homes. I
