Welcome! Thank you for choosing me to document this beautiful and unique moment in your life: your maternity session. I hope this booklet helps answer any questions you might have, and below, I leave you with a few tips for the day itself: •
For fun and beautiful ideas for your shoot, be sure to check out our Pinterest board for maternity session before your session. I’ve also discovered that when guys get a chance to view some images in advance, they know what to expect and it helps him feel comfortable in front of the camera, so make sure you share those boards with him.

Don’t hesitate to check out photo shoot location(s) beforehand and if something else has popped up or you have a cool idea, please don’t hesitate to let me know. I encourage you to find a spot that reflects your love and a place you’ll both feel comfortable.

It’s always fun to bring along props, such as your baby’s first pair of shoes or a special teddy bear and I always encourage the moms to bring a second outfit (perhaps a long flowing dress for beautiful images in the wind if it’s something that fits your style).

Please be on time. More than one photo shoot is normally scheduled for the same day and being on time can maximize the hour we have together for your session. Please make proper considerations for traffic, hair delays, and fashion emergencies! ;) An average shoot lasts 1-1.5 hours and I want the BEST photography experience for you. And being on time achieves exactly this!

If you’d like your hair and makeup professionally done, I work with two amazing hair and makeup artists who I’d be happy to recommend. These girls always work on location so they will be happy to meet with you before the photo shoot at your preferred location. And most importantly, you will not only feel pampered and beautiful, but have the perfect look to match your personality and vision for the photo shoot.

Reveal & Personal Ordering Session Maternity Session Duration and Location:
Digital Files:
The maternity session is between 1 to 1.5 hours long and you’re welcome to bring an outfit change if you’d like a different look for the second half of the session.
The digital files are not included with the session fee, but are available to be purchased separately either as a bundle or individually.
One thing I always tell my girls is to bring a pair of flats if you are planning on wearing heels for the shoot. That way, you won’t kill your feet from all the walking we will be doing between places and you can always put your heels back on when we are ready to shoot. =) An additional hour can be added to the photo shoot if you’d like to go to a different location. If you’d be interested, I can provide you with the rate for it. Please take into consideration the driving time between locations. A second location too far away from the first one will take away from the shooting time we have available. Travel Fee: If locations chosen are greater than 45 miles (round trip) from my home office, a travel fee will apply. Just let me know these details ahead of time so we can better plan for your session. Image File Presentation and Delivery: Once your engagement photos are ready, I’ll set up a meeting with you for a slideshow viewing of your images at a Reveal and Personal Ordering session. At this session, I will help you pick your favorite photos for your album or any products and/or prints you’d be interested in purchasing and for any orders placed that day (excluding Collections since they are already discounted), a 10% discount will apply. I will have samples of different photo books, canvases, metal wall art, folio boxes and a host of other options, available for you to see up close.
The session fee is due in full when booking and scheduling your photo shoot and it includes a credit of $75 to use towards any of your photographs. Should you prefer to print gift size photos of your images yourselves, the digital files for your entire engagement collection will be available for purchase separately and I can recommend a good online lab for the work. I strongly advise against having your images printed at local drugstores or any other retail locations as their quality will suffer and all the beautiful color and editing you see on your screen will not able to be reproduced by bargain printing labs. Professional labs are calibrated to offer higher quality photo paper, higher quality inks, and special coating that ensure your images are resistant to fingerprints, dust and fading. Additional Service: I have a pretty neat software that allows me to use a photo of a space in your home and show you right then and there how a particular image in a particular size will look like on that wall space. That is always very helpful when trying to decide on different size canvas or prints to display as artwork. If you’d be interested, all you need to do is provide me with a few pictures of a room you would be interested in having your wall art displayed in and I can show you how it would look like.
