Welcome to the 2018 REAL ESTATE WEEKEND @ HARVARD jointly presented by the real estate clubs of GSD & HBS
On behalf of the Real Estate Clubs of the Harvard Business School (HBS) and the Harvard Graduate School of Design (GSD), we would like to welcome you to the 2018 Real Estate Weekend at Harvard, an opportunity to reflect, learn, debate, and be inspired! The RE_SHAPE Conference is a forum for students, academics, and professionals to identify and reconcile the rapidly changing dynamics driving the real estate industry in the 21st century. Attendees of the Conference this year come from countless universities and nearly 20 U.S. states. You represent every side of this multi-faceted business: development, finance, architecture, law, economics, politics, entrepreneurship, urban planning, and more. We couldn’t be more thrilled to bring together this talented and diverse group to examine how our world is changing. The Real Estate Venture Competition (REVC) hosts early-state startups with the potential to materially impact the real estate industry. Bringing together thought leaders, investors, and entrepreneurs from all areas of the industry to judge pitches from these startups, the REVC provides a valuable opportunity for feedback and networking. The REVC finalists pitch live in front of all conference attendees, giving a glimpse into the future of real estate. This exciting weekend was made possible by our generous sponsors: The GSD (sponsored in part by a generous gift from J. W. Kaempfer, Jr. MBA ‘71), The Harvard Alumni Real Estate Board, The Baupost Group, Lisciotti Development, Allston Yards (a development partnership by Stop & Shop, Southside Investment Partners, New England Development, and Bozzuto), FivePoint, and Grandbridge. Additionally, we would like to thank our incredible Panel Directors, Ina Li, Roger Mroczek, Kai Tan, and Natasha Thondavadi and the REVC organizers Tony Shu and Casey Finch for their hard work and dedication. Thank you for coming and we hope you enjoy the 2018 Real Estate Weekend at Harvard!
