Leaf with colophon and details of each print and the complete series of 8 silkscreen plates printed in four colours, each with printed title, the publisher’s blindstamp and numbered and signed by LeWitt in pencil. Loose as issued in original publisher’s formed plastic box with title to front cover in black. The scarce early series Arcs from Sides or Corners, Grids & Circles. From the edition limited to 100 copies on Rives BFK, each print with the publisher’s blindstamp, numbered 46 / 100 and signed by LeWitt in pencil. The silkscreen plates were printed by John Campione, New York, in February - April, 1972. The plates are titled as follows: 1. Red grid, blue circles, black and yellow arcs from opposite corners. 2. Blue grid, red circles, black and yellow arcs from opposite sides. 3. Yellow grid, black circles, red and blue arcs from opposite corners. 4. Black grid, yellow circles, red and blue arcs from opposite sides. 5. Red grid, blue circles, black and yellow arcs from adjacent corners. 6. Blue grid, red circles, black and yellow arcs from adjacent sides. 7. Yellow grid, black circles, red and blue arcs from adjacent corners. 8. Original publisher’s cream printed wrappers with titles in black to front cover and spine. A very good copy of LeWitt’s artist book Modular Drawings. Published by Adelina von Furstenberg in 1976, Modular Drawings is composed of fifty pages of drawings commencing with a stack of five squares and continuing within the limits of their furthest extension, creating forms that are part of a grid. This is the only LeWitt book that is not a finite and complete series. [Maffei & De Donno pg. 68].

Original publisher’s printed wrappers with title to front cover in black. LeWitt’s artist book reproducing the effects of light on a wall of brick. An engrossing photo-tribute to the effects of sunlight on the appearance of the wall which faced LeWitt’s studio in New York; the offset-printed illustrations move from lighter to darker effects. Leaf with title recto, leaf with colophon recto and 50 original colour screenprints on Arches numbered 1 - 50, each signed in pencil at lower right and numbered from the edition of 10 and with numeration of each sheet from ‘1’ to ‘50’; sheet size: 408 x 765 mm. Loose as issued in original wooden box with two clasps. An excellent complete example of Sol LeWitt’s very scarce Grids & Color. From the edition limited to 10 copies with each screenprint signed and numbered by LeWitt at lower right; 5 artist proof sets were also issued. The fifty silk screen prints include the colours black, red, blue, yellow and white presented in series of ten with a background colour grid of each colour over which the other colours are printed in combination. The screen prints were printed by Jo Watanabe, New York and the edition was published by Rüdiger Schöttle, Munich. This was LeWitt’s sole publication of prints in 1979.
