HUNGRY for

BOOKS “Gift a child a preloved book” The 1 in 5 project aims to raise awareness of child poverty.

During Book Week, schools involved are seeking donations of high quality children’s books which pupils will then redistribute to children in need through food banks and other organisations.

1 in 5 children living poverty leave school unable to read well. These children are also less likely to have books in the home and read for pleasure. Help us to address this by donating a high quality preloved children’s book to one of the following 6 school hubs.

SOUTH WEST - Hillwood Primary School, Station Road, Ratho Station, EH28 8PT 6. CENTRAL - Sciennes Primary School, 10 Sciennes Rd, Edinburgh, EH9 1LG Schools will only be accepting donations during Book Week (Monday 23rd November until Friday 27th November) and during school opening hours.

PLEASE DO NOT BRING BOOKS TO THE SCHOOLS OUTSIDE OF THESE DAYS OR TIMES.
