Four Seasons Resort Hualalai at Historic Ka‘upulehu, the first and only AAA FiveDiamond and Forbes Five-Star resort on Hawai’i Island, in collaboration with Lucy Lean, noted author of Made in America; Our Best Chefs Reinvent Comfort Food, announces Chef Fest, an annual celebration of high-profile dinners, interactive cooking classes and culinary experiences. While celebrating the bounty of Hawaii Island’s local offerings, the series of events features some of today’s top chefs coming together to cook, teach and entertain in an intimate and relaxed beach setting.
Who’s Cooking?
Ludo Lefebvre co-stars on ABC’s primetime hit The Taste. The “King of the Pop-Up”, Ludo practically invented the hottest dining trend to sweep the nation, with LudoBites and his acclaimed TV show LudoBites America. Nancy Silverton is co-owner of Mozza2Go, Pizzeria Mozza and Michelin starred Osteria Mozza in L.A., as well as the founder of the La Brea Bakery. She is the author of several cookbooks, including The Mozza Cookbook. Matt Molina is the executive chef of Mozza2Go, Pizzeria Mozza and Michelin starred Osteria Mozza in L.A., he is co-author of The Mozza Cookbook and 2012 James Beard Award winner for Best Chef of the Pacific. Waylynn Lucas is the owner of the L.A. sensation, f!nuts. Before opening f!nuts she was the pastry chef at two of Los Angeles’ highest rated restaurants, The Bazaar and Patina. Josiah Citrin is the two-star Michelin chef/owner of Mélisse in Santa Monica and co-owner of Lemon Moon Café. His first cookbook, In Pursuit of Excellence, was named best cookbook by the Independent Publishing Professionals.
James Babian is executive chef of Four Seasons Resort Hualalai, and a leader in sustainable cuisine. Babian works with over 160 local farmers and fishermen, serving his guests food that is 75% from Hawaii Island. Alessandro Cartumini is executive chef of Four Seasons Resort The Biltmore Santa Barbara. An 18-year veteran of Four Seasons, Cartumini has worked at the company’s hotels throughout Europe and the United States. Tyler Shedden is chef de cuisine, Café Boulud at Four Seasons Hotel Toronto. Shedden has worked throughout Canada and New York City prior to joining Four Seasons. Lucy Lean is a Food Judge for Fox hit MasterChef with Gordon Ramsay, a judge on the James Beard Cookbook Committee, publisher of LadlesandJellyspoons.com, the author of Made in America and event founder.
