FOR FUN

Recently, I was going through some old photos of my mom as a young woman growing up in the 60 and I fell in love. I was immediately driven by a vision to produce a throwback ’old/vintage/retro’ photoshoot. Looking back at those photos inspired me to remind today’s world of past fashionistas. I began brainstorming right away for locations, lighting, hair/makeup, and of course I had to find a model.

I knew Daniel would be great for hair and makeup. We met up to begin planning the shoot. Soon afterwards, thankfully, I was able to book Christina. I thought she would be perfect for this theme of winged eyeliner, big hair, gloves and the scarfs. She was an absolute joy to work with.

For this shoot I decided to use natural light. I find that natural light brings more life to the images. Together with Daniel’s absolutely stunning make up talent and Christina’s flawless look, we were able to capture the fresh colors, textures, and lively feelings of women in the 60s. I feel blessed to be able to share this with the world.
