Band Description The Brazierlights In The Window is Anton Rank and Perry MacLeod Jensen’s common musical hunt for everyday joy, euphoria and emotional contact in a overwhelming city. The hunt is based on a love of musical idols like The Flaming Lips, Slowdive, Deerhunter, Pink Floyd, Animal Collective, My Bloody Valentine and Beck, who each have their distinct place in the duo’s music. The Brazierlights In The Windows uncompromising musicality reminds to some extent to the noise-guru Kevin Shields’, the eccentric David Bowie’s or the realist Lou Reed’s works. In TBITW’s sounduniverse you should notice the dreamy and noisy guitar surfaces that blend brilliantly with the Brian Eno alike synth tones and Perry MacLeod Jensen’s distinctive vocals, which, shrouded in reverb and delay, forms a beautiful top of the band’s explosive universe of sound.

Emotions

They play important role in your band’s identity. You try to express wide variety of people’s feelings and emotions- euphoria, loneliness, thoughtfulness, melancholy, etc. and that’s why we have decided to put them into first place.

Rhythm

Good rhythm and sound is vital for any band and your songs are largely based on it. As you have said, you record alone, play a lot with different sounds and rhythms. You don’t like to stick to the line but feel free and improvise during your concerts. Therefore rhythm is a must be in your 3 ring target.

Reality

As you have mentioned several times during the presentation, sense of reality is very important for you. Your whole album is a realistic story of a man trying to escape from his past. You don’t want to use abstract or non-natural elements in your work, only serious and critical topics set in a real environment.


Log With the rapid increase in popularity of mobile phones and tablets, logos started to be more minimalistic and got rid of distracting elements like gradients, shades or too deep details. We tried to keep with this trend to increase usability and have created a simple vector logo that is fully scalable and works well on all platforms. It is clearly readable on various backgrounds, both in colourful or grayscale version and does not fade even on black or very dark background.

Symbolics:

Even though it appears to be very simple when you first look at it, it has many hidden symbols to reveal. The main structure is composed of 2 reflected symbols, which represent guitars, one of the main instruments used by your band. Central part of the logo is composed of 2 parallel lines resembling guitar strings. Even the number of elements is not random. Two vector shapes represent two band members- Perry and Anton. The slanting shape of the guitars form letter B, which is the initial letter of your band name- The Blazierlights in the Window. However, it is not the only letter which can be found there. Your logo is composed also of letters L, Z, I or A. At the same time, the guitars are composed of 2 pyramids, one of the first building blocks used by human beings. It represents architecture, skyscrapers, tall buildings and life in the big city, which is the main theme of your upcoming album. The highlighted green part of the logo symbolizes sandglass. Time passing, endless hunt for euphoria and emotions and lives changing in the flow of reality.

Your logo is well proportioned and balanced, composed of equally spaced elements and simple vector graphics, making it comfortable for the eye and fresh and modern looking. It becomes unique in the combinaiton of simplicity, usability and deep symbolics. A logo should be easily recalled after just a glance. A glance, after all, is typically all your logo is going to get from most people. Visible guitar shapes make it easily recognisable and assiociate it with music industry.

Description: Colour range sticks to the concept you have been previously using, mainly shades of blue, black and white with sandy or sepia tones resembling urban architecture and life in big city added to it. They give good contrast to more depressive and dark-themed black and blue colour range and at the same time highlight certain parts on your flyers or website.

We have decided to keep typeface you have been using for years. It is closely associated with your band and its history and can be seem on all older posters, flyers or promo materials. Another reason, why we would like to use it is that it is easily readable, legible, contains wide variety of font-forms and glyphs and does not confuse reader with fancy effects or distractive elements. Sans-serif nature of the typeface is pleasant for the eye and modern looking. The font has correct x-height and good letter spacing, can be used both as display or paragraph typeface and is neither too stretched nor too compressed. It also works well with logo we have designed for you.


Image Style

Photos play vital role in your visual identity and general style of your website. We have decided to keep other elements simple and minimalistic in order to stress images and emotions represented in them. Our main goal was to capture life in a big city, which is the concept behind your upcoming album, and urban environment, which should be exciting, populated but at the same time anonymous. That’s why we would like to shoot mainly in side alleys, older industrial parts or outskirts of the city. All photos should stick to your colour scheme and represent variety of emotions: euphopria, joy, loliness, depression, melancholy, etc.


Concept We would like to present the Brazierlights in the Window as a talented alternative band playing with beats, rhythm and human emotions. They come with a new, dreambased genre and retain style that is neither too old nor modern and mainstream. We would like to medialize them through use of different social media platforms and attractive flyers and posters. Their target group consist mainly of young people who enjoy music that directly communicates emotions or thoughts. We would like to idealize them and make them known not only in Denmark but also all around the world.

We tried to communicate feelings, thoughts and emotions mainly via images and photographs. We played with different colours, angles and locations to invoke variety of feelings.


Album COVER

The band’s upcoming album is filled with emotions, feelings and realistic depiction of life. It is a story of person who tries to escape his past and start a new life, but fails to do so and in the end falls into depression of the past again. To stress these deep emotions, we used photo of 2 band members lying next to each other and wondering about the life. To express disappointment and dark thoughts, we decided to use grayscale fitler with decreased brightness, vignette and aegean and denim colour for highlights..


Business Cards For business cards we used more minimalistic style with simple black and white colour range that is timeless and therefore can be used long term. Front part consist of non-distractive black background with white logo on top of it. To make it look more interesting, we decided to use letterpress and embed the logo into card surface. Back part, on the other hand, uses white background with bang logo pattern in the top left corner. We have agreed to use band’s favourite quote to approach their life philosophy.

Video To Stand Just Here #COPENHAGEN #VESTERPORT #NORREBRO To Stand Just Here is one of few songs from the album Fall Fall Fall that expresses positive emotions as joy, happiness and euphoria. To evolve these feelings we used bright and nicely lit scenes of a man travelling from his old town to a new city which means a new beginning and hope for him. The man explores life in a big city and for the first time feels he belongs somewhere.Scenes are alternating with musicians singing and playing in an old garage in Vesterport. The environment there expresses typical urban architecture and neon lights give good focus on the band and create a nice exposition. Video is composed of both overal shots, tight shots or close ups. Frames have filters applied to match colours and lightning conditions for all of them.

“Triple the fanbase within t After thourought analysis of our target group we found out that it consists primarily of young people aged between 18-24 who are active on the internet and use different social media. We realise that social media is a powerful tool that can help our musicians gain more popularity. To achieve our objective we used strategy concentrating on the online propaganda of the Brazierlights in the Window. We created brand new facebook and instagram profile for our customer together with an interactive website which offers possibility to share content on social media platforms and follow/like the band. Regular updates and possibility to preview their new material for free is a key to achieving this goal. Apart from that we have also decided to use offline propaganda- billboards, posters, business cards and merchandise.

Website As previously mentioned, the target group consists mainly of young people who are active on the internet. To attract them we decided to use fresh contemporary webdesign that is obtimized for different platforms and web browsers. We decided to catch their attention by frequent use of interactive elements and get their interest by showing off the latest products and offering free previews and special offers. #54aec9
