ABOUT US Increase of threats as terrorism at sea and the piracy have been spiritus movens of founding in 2007 Maritime Safety & Security LTD, the only company in Poland involved into maritime security industry. Our core field of activities is training center where you can take part in professional courses, compulsory to get employed as security guard onboard. The highest level of our services prove introduced ISO system and possibility of conducting training courses in accordance with STCW convention. For contents look after professional teaching staff having experience in commanding hijacked vessels (captains of MV BELUGA NOMINATION, MV SIRIUS STAR), there are professional police negotiator, psychologist specialized in PTSD (post trauma stress disorder) treatment and special forces officers, fluent in tactical operations onboard with wide knowledge of piracy.
Last but not least is our most important element – security services. Wide spectrum od experience of our vessel protection team members let us adjust the offer for each specific client. Carefully selected operators have rich tactical experience in special forces units and are able to work as both armed and unarmed guards.
The founder of company is LCDR (R) Sebastian Kalitowski, former team leader of combat divers in Formoza unit and operational oficer of Polish Military Interligence.

SECURITY SERVICES ARMED VESSEL PROTECTION TEAMS
As a matter of fact, the pirates are more aggressive and better armed. There is no other way to deter them than using armed guards on the board. Our Vessel Protection Teams are fines quality operators who ar competent to make the crew and management feel that their fleet is safe. Our staff includes former naval special forces soldiers, members of police and military counter terrorist units and the other military and paramilitary services. All of the operatives are educated in accordance with current international law regulations and tactical standards of naval special forces. Weapons and equipment solutions are adjusted to the sea environment to acquire the highest level of accuracy no matter of time or weather.
UNARMED SECURITY PERSONNEL
Dangerous cargo or crude oil carried on the board make significant threat for the crew and environment. Anyway there is still need to keep the vessel secured. Current technological solutions as passive and active means of protection need well educated and competent personnel who is able to set devices up and operate them to gain security level similiar to armed guards on the board. Our staff is well educated in non lethal security solutions usage and proper management of the crew in case of pirate attack.

What is more some of them have already experienced who already experienced RISK ASSESSMENT Our constant analysis of the situation of the industry is letting us to prepare reports about actual threats, maritime security plans all other necessary services to define what solutions are the most appropriate. SAFE MUSTER POINT Widely known as ship citadel. All crew and find the shelter there in case of boarding the vessel by pirates. This solution is strongly recommended for all vessels without armed vessel protection teams on the board. Our experts who already survived pirate attacks in that kind of place consult the best room for it. What is more the citadel will be properly supplied regarding the risk of staying there for longer time. THE CITADEL EMERGENCY BOX In case of pirate attack and need to shelter in the the citadel, the box can supply liaison with management and naval forces and goods of first need for crew. Content of the box can be adjusted to individual order.

Maritime Safety & Security Training Center Established in June of 2009 with the idea of creating new standards and quality for security education issue. Our goal is to provide high quality courses conducted by experts who have got experience by serving in naval special forces, commanding vessels at sea or working as negotiator or psychologist. ANTI—PIRACY AWARENESS FOR THE SEAFARERS In 2010 and 2011, 8 seafarers were murdered by pirates each of those years. Reasons are different. From trials to stop pirates on the board to psychological problems caused by captication what led them to commit the suicide. That amount of fatalities and injured seafarers could be lower. The Anti—Piracy Awareness For The Seafarers is special training course what’s aim is to provide specific knowledge of the piracy and preparation for shipping in High Risk Area. Training course is divided into 3 parts. First is the general overview of the piracy issue. Second topic is are psychological aspects of hostage situations. The last chapter is practical exercise as a simulation of pirate attack on the board.
GOAL We are striving to make seafarers realized how serious and dangerous the threat of piracy is. We want to help all attendants to be conscius that they can survive pirate attack thank to knowledge we share at the training courses.
METHODS Training course is based on professional and intenationally approved materials as BMP-4. Contents are consulted with the commanders of hijacked vessels.
