Light and Shadows SP Year 1 Lamp Design Project

An exploration into the principles of light and shadow, the lamp project utilises the basics of Architecture; lines, planes and axis, to deliver an interesting composition of the two opposing elements while giving appreciation to their linked relationship.

Designed for a client who enjoys being surrounded by nature, the private residence project makes full use of openings to frame the surrounding landscape as well as to allow plenty of cross-ventilation.


Aurora Gardens

Victoria Street, Singapore SP Year 2 Med-Rise Residential Project

Sited in close proximity to a popular shopping district and business area, the Aurora Gardens condominium is shaped in the form of two mirrored crescents with multiple communal spaces and gardens connecting the residential units.

Singapore Arts and Cultural Center Somerset Road, Singapore SP Year 3 Mixed Use Project

Top: Building edge as seen from the intersection of Somerset and Grange Road

Slated to become the next major arts and cultural centre in the city, this project aims to draw in the younger crowds nearby to become more involved in the arts scene. As such, ample space is crafted and set aside for ad hoc events. Top and Right: Site and user analysis help determine the fundemental layout of the building

Queensland University of Technology Library Brisbane, Queensland, Australia UTas Year 2 Sem 2 Educational Building Project

Sited in the subtropical Brisbane, the proposed Queensland University of Technology library is designed to allow ample reading and study spaces while maximising visual connectivity with the two important surrounding landscapes: the river bend of Brisbane River and the City Botanical Garden.

Jackson’s Garage Redevelopment and City Block Masterplanning

Launceston, Tasmania, Australia UTas Year 3 Sem 1 Project

A conversion project for a potentially historically significant building within the city from a ex-car garage to a new start-up office space. A void is created over in the main entry to expose the different historical architecture elements: the timber truss saw-tooth roof, the first form of precast slab back in the early days and the clay bricks made locally.

Academy of Creative Industries and Performing Arts Hobart, Tasmania, Australia UTas Year 3 Sem 2 Mixed Use Project

A collaboration between the state government and the state university, the ACIPA aims to elevate the creative and arts industry in the Tasmanian capital by integrating the still-functioning historic Theatre Royal together with the university’s Conservatory of Music and the headquaters of the Creative Exchange Industry.
