Data Entry •
Data entry is the work of entering a specific type of data into computer or any other electronic device using specific software. This work is done by expert data entry operators who have complete knowledge regarding data entry.
•
When someone wants to transform or change the format of any desired information and data, data entry work is performed and the information can be transcribed in the desired format. These formats generally include handwritten documents, spreadsheets, sequencing of numbers, computer codes, and even names and addresses.
•
Data processing is the conversion of data into usable and desired form. This conversion or “processing” is carried out using a predefined sequence of operations either manually or automatically. Most of the data processing is done by using computers and thus done automatically. The output or “processed” data can be obtained in different forms like image, graph, table, vector file, audio, charts or any other desired format depending on the software or method of data processing used.
Data Conversion •
Data conversion is the conversion of one data format into another. It is a technical process mostly done by software, although rarely hardware or human intervention is used. The sole purpose of the data conversion is to enable interoperability and to maintain all of the data with embedding as much as information as possible. Data conversion can be simple or complex based on the environment and data formats involved. Data is handled by the operating system and different applications in different manners, so in order to use the same data for other operating systems or applications, data must be converted.
Data Cleansing •
Data cleansing is the process of altering data in a given storage resource to make sure that it is accurate and correct. There are many ways to pursue data cleansing in various software and data storage architectures; most of them center on the careful review of data sets and the protocols associated with any particular data storage technology.
Data Verification •
Data verification is a process in which different types of data are checked for accuracy and inconsistencies after data migration is done. It helps to determine whether data was accurately translated when data is transferred from one source to another, is complete, and supports processes in the new system.
