Introduction My name is Aye and I came from China. Before I came to UCA, I was a science student and my major was the technology and science of material. Although I somehow failed to be admitted into the design major, I have mastered related knowledge and developed my logical and independent thinking by studying my undergraduate major. My dream to become a graphic designer has never faded through the years. Then I want to learn more about the art and design, so I choice the UCA which can help me to improve myself.
PSEAD Now, I study the Pre-Sessional English language lessons to prepare master study. In these 10 weeks, I learned a lot of things which had positive effect on my life. 1.I learned about the history of art 2.I opened my eye about the art culture 3.I known how to make an academic study 4.I had improved my English skills 5.I made new friends and teachers.
Future When I study in the UCA, I hope I can gain the experience of team work and learn more about the processional skill such as the drawing skill, research skill and the academic skill. In my daily life, I want to make more local students and friends which can help me to improve the English skill and learn more about local culture. I also can broaden my visions and obtain brand-new perspectives to view the world and a bigger platform to learn, to create and to communicate. My career plan after my postgraduate study is to be a professional graphic designer. While doing my work, I would further polish my skills, try my best to enrich my working experience and to learn about the marketing needs in this field. When the timing is ripe, I would start to run my own design studio so that I could fully express myself by designing what I really want to design.

Hello, my name is Yibo Chang, you can call me Cyndi. I come from Henan Province, in the central part of China. I like to travel around and discover fresh things, special foods and delicate desserts.
I am very glad that I joined the Pre-sessional English course in the UK. Through this course, I learned how to research such as browsing the museum or using the school library system and how to start a project. And I knew the correct format of the paper, like using the Harvard reference system. Besides, teamwork is an important way to study. I can get inspiration from different friends. The presentation also made me more confident and bold. Of course, we had the time to relax, felt the local culture and communicated with the locals. I have improved my English in different ways. This was also inseparable from the help of the tutors. The feedback has really helped me a lot.
From 2014 to 2018, I studied visual communication design at Henan University of Technology. I love life, I hope that I can collect the things I found in my life and then use the technique like Photoshop to recreate them. The process of making the memory continuous makes me feel satisfied. Thus, I will study at the University for the Creative Arts for a year as a graduate student. And my major is Graphic Design which can enjoy life and share novelty to people continuously.
Future In the future, I am looking forward to be making short-term plans, not just studying, but also trying more things that I never done before. I hope I can make reasonable use of future time, learning and discovering during travel. The important thing is that I need continuously to improve my software technology. However, it is also necessary to make materials by hand using the elements of life. This way can help me to create unique and sustainable designs. I have always believed that 'design comes from life'.

I like colorful works, and then I started to learn design. I studied advertising in a college in china for four years. I like to use "visual" as a way of communication and performance. So the graphic design has fully attracted my interest.
PSEAD During the ten-week Pre-sessional English course at UCA,I really improved my English, especially speaking and writing, it is also a good opportunity to get accustom to the life in the UK. Besides, I have already made many friends who share the same interests with me. What’s more, our tutors are always sincere and patient, they taught me a lot. I learned how to do research and how to develop essential learning methods.
Future In fact, I have a lot of plans for the future. In the next year at UCA, I wanted to create my portfolio and learn to use a variety of drawing software. Such as Photoshop, AI and ID, it is also my goal to see all the museums in the UK, because I especially like to see museums and improve my English Ability, I will try my best and stimulate my potential.

I chose display design as my major in college. ( During this period, I designed luxury stores and museums. I found that graphic design played an important role in the spatial changes caused by modern display methods. So I decided to study graphic design for my graduate program. I think this can help me to learn more about the design of multi-dimensional space. In the process of studying graphic design, I had the opportunity to work with some famous designers, which let me understand the diversity of graphic design.
Having identified my major choices, I wanted to start a new study in a place that was different from my previous work and life. In the meantime, I wanted to see different landscapes and meet different people, understand their cultures and ideas, which helped me to break through the stereotypes and find a new design starting point. So I chose to come to England with a completely different area from Asian culture. I hope that when I communicate with people from different countries, I can understand their ideas clearly and put forward my views naturally. The first thing I want to solve is the language problem. At present, my language ability is not enough to support me to do so, which is why I have come to study language courses. Language courses have given me an environment and objects for communication. In the process of learning, I began to be able to fully express my ideas in the right thinking logic, which is a great progress.
Future In the future, although I study graphic design, I will also try to explore and study the multi-dimensional application of graphic design elements in exhibition space. I hope I can get more inspiration to do the design to combine the eastern and Western cultures, which may become my design singulars. When I finish my graduate course, I hope to be able to take part in some architectural design projects and apply my research to them. In fact, I have been doing exercises like this in my free time.

From 2014 to 2017 I successfully completed the course and obtained an associate bachelor’s degree from Limkokwing University Of Creative Technology. The fouryear’s study at university allowed me to receive basic training in graphic design, including Spelling use of graphic design software, history of graphic design, advertising and marketing. Now I have come to University Of Creative Arts to further my graphic design skills and I'm very glad to have this opportunity.
During the ten-week pre-sessional course, I improved my English and I learned how to cooperate with other students. Moreover, I learned how to do research and record the whole process from the beginning of a project. In my country they focus more on the result than on the process. Receiving appropriate feedback strengthened my learning because it stimulated my thinking ability. In addition, all tutors are friendly and patient, they taught me a lot not only about language competency, but also how to develop essential learning methods. This way enabled me to understand that thinking of visiting any exhibition is the most important part of being a designer. In my mind, the whole learning process is rich and interesting.
Future
In fact, life keeps learning. I will further my study to master as well. It would be a new challenge for me to study abroad. I am looking forward to be starting university life and meet people around the world who have the same goal with me. I believe it must be an unforgettable memory of my life path.
Introduction My name is GAO SIYA and I come from China. I studied in Guangxi University for nationalities as an undergraduate. And my undergraduate major is visual communication design. I need to learn a lot about ethnic design because of my university is an ethnic university. I have learned a lot about graphic design in the past four years. I like my major, so I chose to continue my study in this major. So, I choose UCA.
PSEAD I have learned a lot in these two months 'language courses. I gradually adapt to life in England. I went to some British museums, for example V&A and Tate modern etc. I really like the European design style. In the ten weeks, I get along with my teachers and classmates very happily. I'm glad to choose UCA. I enjoy the teaching mode here. I think the language course is very useful for my future study. I learned How to write project proposal and essay, and my listening and speaking have been improved.
Future I hope my English ability and understanding of design will be improved in the coming year. I think I should not learn graphic design. I am also very interested in animation and movies. If I have the opportunity, I hope I can learn in this aspect in the future. I am looking forward to my main course and my life in the UK.
Introduction My name is Zhang Bo. I am from China and graduated from the International Foundation Center of Communication University of China. My major is graphic design visual communication. I was very interested in graphic design when my aesthetics gradually became more prominent. In my understanding, vision has always been the main sense of people. Therefore, this course is not only to teach students graphic design to produce commercial value and artistic value, but also to teach students to find the aesthetics in life, to discover beauty, to create beauty. Although I don't have much professional knowledge, I still want to go to this major. As a freshman at the University for the Creative Arts, everything is new to me, new countries, new cultures, new environments, and new friends. Because the British education system is relatively free and broad, I like it, where students will maximize their potential. Therefore, as an international student, I still prefer education in the UK.
PSEAD This summer, I attended the 5-week language course in Hangzhou and the 10-week language course in the UK. During the language course, there is a presentation every two weeks, which makes my life compact, full, and no longer lazy. When I present presentation, I need to go to the stage to give a speech. This is an inherently challenging task for me. At the same time, there are not only the tasks of learning during the language course, but also many opportunities to study trip. London, Oxford, many cities with culture and modern atmosphere. This makes my language course life interesting. During the language course, I learned the importance of cooperation and the connection between different majors through the opportunity of group cooperation. By doing a sketchbook, I learned that different styles of painting have different visual effects.
Future In the future, I want to be a special, niche designer. Open a studio that is not big. Do your own work in the field, use works that highlight your own characteristics.
