What’s New In the Co-op? You may have noticed that the Co-0p has a bright and beautiful new look thanks to a fully designed branding package by Nicole Klimek at CDS, a company that consults with Co-op’s just like us! Nicole visited our store and made us a palette featuring colors drawn from the paint and atmosphere of the Co-op, as well as inspired by the areas stunning apple orchards and Vermont’s legacy. Our new logo features a handdrawn red apple holding seeds within a heart, a nod to our place in the community of Putney and our growth!

She also created a custom font for us called ‘Coats’ that highlights our whimsical nature and an array of graphics featuring starbusts, brush strokes, honeybees, and more! As we look forward to our expansion on the horizon for August we will use this branding package as a touchstone for sharing our marketing and emphasizing our inviting, local, grass-roots legacy! It also helps to create a more cohesive look for our little store and you’ll notice new signage in dark green ‘Elm’ shades or a playful ‘Cortland’ or ‘Northern Spy’. We have long loved John and Peg’s beautiful tile art that was featured in our previous logo and also our apple tree, but also noted the need for a refresh as we anticipate a larger store and providing more of what you love about us! A huge thank you to Robyn and Nicole for guiding us through this process and for providing us with new branding that so effectively shares the visual story of who we are!
