FORM DEVELOPMENT
The existing site of this project is located in San Francisco, and this is a future office design for Google X Company. My goal of this project is to design a “dream factory”, a dream research center. For the visitors, they could get a different sleep experience, and for the staffs who work there, the office provide a new working way for them to have a better living and working environment, and I hope this method can make people to be more effective and creative.
Pons, is a part of the brain stem, where REM sleep signals originate—shuts off signals to the spinal cord. It controls and regulate people’s dream at night, so I pull out the shape of it to enhance my concept and the surrealism feeling of the office interior design.

Dream is always surrealism, it breaks up your memory and joint them together in a completely different way, so dreaming sometimes could bring people some new fresh ideas. Also, some people think that dreaming is a way of entering into the other world, and they can do whatever they want in the dream world, for example, for those who are blind, they will get chance to see the world again in their dream. This is why I think dream has the potential to improve people’s living and working ways.

This project is a future dream research center, I want to create an experience of entering into the other world, and I hope this type of special working environment could help people to be more relaxed, creative and comfortable. Both staffs and visitos can control and record their dream in this building, and these information could help the researchers to study dream. Also, the sleeping pod inside this building can provide them a more relaxed and comfortable sleeping and waking up experience.

In the main building
Sleeping pod is a transition passageway in between office area and sleeping area, people could relax themselves before go to sleep and have some time to wak up in the morning. “I always chat with someone on my phone at night, so I always stay up late at night. BLACK HOLE IN THE UNIVERSE Dark Sky Institute Design Solving light pollution For both visitors and researchers to use. Israel, Ramon Crater Dessert 10000 square feet
TRAVEL IN THE UNIVERSE
Universe is an open space, different galaxy are seprated with each other but they can still see each other, and this is how I design the open and communicative spatial environment.
Open office - the office area and the gallery for visitors share one space with separated level, the visitors can see the staffs, but they will not bother each other.
Entrance stair - for both visitors and staffs to use, and they can have some eye contact.

Black hole Central Space
The Universe 3 Dimension Planetarium
Connection Space in between different levels, the visitors will enter this space repetitively when they go upstairs, for experiencing the feeling of being pulled into the black hole and entering into different galaxies.
3 Dimension Planetarium - some open domes on the floor that allows the visotors to seat together, each dome has the space on both side and this planetarium creates a feeling of “stay in the universe
Floor plan The visitors could choose to use a APP to identify where they are and provide some related information about the galaxy that the space refers to. For example, the stairs on the left is designed based on the Fi r e w o r k s Ga l a x y, so a f t e r t h e vi s i t o r s c a n s i t , t h e A PP w i ll s h o w e ve r yt h i n g a bo u t t h i s g a l ax y, i n c lu d i n g w h i c h p a r t o f the galaxy correspond with which i n t e r i or m a t e r i a l.
People could see their current location in the building.
The visitors could choose to scan a QR code and enter this APP page, and the instructions on the APP will guide them in this institute, for helping them to know more information about different galaxies and enhancing their experience of “staying in the universe.
The institute is designed based on different galaxies in the universe, so all of the galaxies that are contained in the institute are shown on the first page on the APP.
This dark sky institute welcome both visitors and researchers, so this building include both galleries and offices. If the visitors see anything that they do not understand, this APP provides a platform for the visitors to communicate with the staffs or researchers. The staffs could also share their work blog on this APP if they want.
This space above is an entrance stair. The theme of this space is based on Fireworks Galaxy. Based on the scene data on the server, the APP could recognize which space people stay, and after scanning this space, the visitors could see all the info about this galaxy on the APP.
Floor plan This space below is a semi-open office area. The theme of this space is based on Whirlpool Galaxy, after scanning this space, the visitors could see all the info about this galaxy on the App.

Both of the interior and exterior layer is flexible and able to open and close for different situation when using the space, and these flexible structures are designed based on the local patterns, the pattern is designed based on Mideast cultures, combined with three different types of patterns and designed a new one.
When the wind becomes strong, people can close the exterior skin to block it and protect the pods.
Module for interior skin Interior skin module are comprised by triangles. People can open the structure up, and they can control the size of the openings. The shape of it is designed based on the local patterns and cultures.

DIPHYLLEIA Sustainable Interior Separating Wall Design Physical Model Materials - White Silk Organza 100% silk - Yarn 100% wool - Wire
The Product was developed by using circle as the basic design element, after unite and tie t hem together, this piece will become an interior curtain for blocking sunlight and exterior air pollution, also, it can be used to separate space up. The basic materials in this project including wire, silk organza and yarn. (Silk and yarn are all natural, metal can be reused again and again)
This project can be installed on the ceiling, and different scale of each module provides different functions in different spaces.
