In this section focus is placed on common phrases as Gaeilge that are frequently used and heard. Most set phrases, and especially figures of speech are unique to Gaeilge and cannot be translated literally. They are varied, some can be quite rude and can be a source of fun and amusement, as you make progress with your language learning.
