Sunday Sprays Vol #1

Page 1

I think I had biked to 47th and cottage from 51st (and cottage) before I got tired and hauled my ass on the #4 cottage grove bus, bike strapped and snapped to the front cage and all. Headed north, I was on my way to see a wall-inprogress that the homie Amuse had gathered to spray with. It was another one of the weird ass hot and/or/maybe both cold days where the Sun and the clouds took turns deciding what climate they wanted it to be. Chicago was recovering from a recent snow/hailstorm (in April my nigga? Come on) that nobody, and I mean NOBODY had asked for. Nobody: Not One Single Soul: Chicago: Snows in April. Whatever. As I hopped off the bus, loaded my bike off the bus, I sped off, pulling up to the wall within minutes. As I arrived, everyone was posted up in group formation, shades on or hands covering their faces with a drone hovering a few feet overheard, preparing to take a group photo. As I’ve learned as a professional fly-on-thewall, I managed to roll off my bike, take a few photos with my digital camera, take a photo with my 35mm point and shoot camera, all before passing it to another person as I rolled in for the final photo. (Yes I did this all in one motion). Somehow Locs managed to operate the drone and be in the photo (technology is wild man I gotta catch up and get me one of those), and after everyone got their photos painting resumed. This zine is a collection of some of the shots I was able to get that day. Big s/o to Sivel, Burie, Block, Locs, FQ, Obe, Eloe, Amuse, Sege, Stuk, and Fonte.
